Blessed Christmas!

BLESSED CHRISTMAS!

Calvary Today wishes all Calvarites and friends a Blessed Christmas!

Christmas reminds us of God’s greatest gift to man in the form of Jesus. It was a fulfillment of a promise God made to Israel, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel”. (Isaiah 7:14)

They saw the fulfillment of this promise some 700 years later, “All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel – which means ‘God with us’.” (Matthew 1:22)

It may seem an awful long time for God to fulfill His promise but time is relative to God. The important thing to remember is that God keeps His promises.

When we started our quest to re-establish truth, transparency, good governance and accountability in our church, it was not because we had nothing better to do. The Bible teaches us to be good stewards of everything He blesses us with and that includes finances. It is our responsibility to ensure that our church practices good stewardship. We cannot pass the buck to the pastors and deacons alone. God holds us individually equally accountable.

Since our little teh tarik group started before the AGM in March this year, God has, time and again, answered our prayers. Promises have been fulfilled. God never fails.

We are aware that many of you are getting weary after 8 months of enduring the ‘nonsense’ that we have seen or personally experienced in our struggle to see a change in our church. Let us not give up but have faith in God and believe that victory is just round the corner. The Bible says, “ Now faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).

Let us all enjoy this Christmas by reflecting on God’s goodness and mercy to us this entire year. We have many things to rejoice and be grateful to God for. So for the next few days, we hope that all of us will set aside our differences and unite in our spirits to celebrate Christmas with Joy. We are dedicating this post for all to put in:

1. A Prayer for the new year.
2. A Christmas greeting
3. A Testimony of God’s blessings and goodness in your lives.

Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!

*********************************************************

This is a testimony written by KC Lim.

Not too long ago, while my simple housewife was driving along the Penchala Link, God showed her the rainbow which ended just in front of her car. (Read her post on 18 October) She had been seeking God about the situation in our church and He answered with that rainbow, giving her the comfort that He will deliver us out of our situation. Rainbow, as you know, is a reminder of His promises.

Last Saturday, while my family and I were flying back from Cairo, where we had been touring, another ‘miracle’ of sorts happened. About an hour or so after our plane took off from Mumbai, India after a short transit, one fellow passenger seated at the window lifted the window shade. Instantly, the beautiful colors of the rainbow flashed across the aisle right in front of my wife who was seated in the middle row. She stretched out her hands and the rainbow colors rested on the palm of her hands. See the photos below.

The phenomenon, regardless of whether it was caused by a natural rainbow across the sky then or something else, is a reminder to her (and to all of us) that indeed, victory is already in our hands. We just have to exercise faith and claim the victory He has promised.

During our trip, we were reminded that God delivered the Israelites out of the land of Egypt, out of slavery into the Promised Land and we were asking God when He is going to deliver us out of the crisis our church is in. My wife, being the more “holy’ one was prayerful throughout the trip and on the plane. And God answered with the rainbow again.

Welcome back!

Looks like the rainbow is always following Karen.

We shall call her Rainbow Karen instead of simple housewife.

Blessed Christmas to one and all,

My family and I wish to take this opportunity to wish every Christian who blogs here Blessed Christmas and Happy New Year 2009.

Let us rejoice together as members of His Body for unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Let us determine during this festive season to give all glory and honour to our Lord for He has been good to us.

As we look forward to 2009, we have His assurance that all will be well despite the global economic uncertainties, for He's our certainty. He never changes and He's the same yesterday, today and forever.

Blessed Christmas and Happy New Year 2009. God bless.

In Him,

To Everyone,
BLessed Christmas! Blessed New Year 2009!

Rejoice and again I say rejoice!

Be of good cheer for the Lord showed His Love for us,when He gave us Jesus, His Son. God loved us, that long before we knew Him, He made the first choice to love us. Jesus completed the choice of His Father when He went to the Cross. No message and no Love can be more powerful than this.

Through Jesus, we now have the greatest gift of all - a relationship with God, The Father.

Through this relationship, with God by our side,we lack not the things that truly matter in life - quiet comfort in the darkest moments; peace in the midst of strife, joy on the journey of sufferings.

God is the friend who holds our hands; the guide when we lose sight; the confidant for our deepest troubles and the counselor when we need advice.

So I encourage you all to meditate upon the Lord and His goodness through times of good and adversity in 2008, then give thanks and rejoice.

May the blessings, protection, health and joy of the Lord go with each of you into the New Year.

With warm wishes
Diana

That Midnight Hour

The Virgin Mother kneels upon the floor
And holds her baby in her arm,
Her heart is gladder than her lips can say,
To keep her new born baby snug and warm,
A babe more sweet and fair and dear
Than any rose bud in the bright sunshine,
Whose little eyes look straight into her own,
O, blessed maid, God's son is also thine.
Twas holy midnight, when He came to earth:
As pours a sun ray through a limpid glass,
Not leaving any mark upon its face;
A drop of dew upon the fresh green grass,
A little star that fell upon her lap,
A cooing babe, that seeks her virgin breast.
The hopes of all the sin-cursed world
Upon this baby's eyelids rest.
And ever since the midnight hour is holy,
And millions of human hearts are stirred
To wonderment and love for Him who came,
To save the world, God's own incarnate Word.
He came in darkness, He who was The Light,
His godhead shone from clear blue baby eyes,
The curse of earth's first sin was lifted then,
That midnight hour reopened paradise.

Blessed Christmas to all TTG supporters! God Bless!

Letter from Heaven:

Dear All,

As you well know, we are getting closer to my birthday. Every year there is a celebration in my honor and I think that this year the celebration will be repeated..

During this time there are many people shopping for gifts, there are many radio announcements, TV commercials, and in every part of the world everyone is talking that my birthday is getting closer and closer.

It is really very nice to know, that at least once a year, some people think of me.

As you know, the celebration of my birthday began many years ago.

At first people seemed to understand and be thankful of all that I did for them, but in these times, no one seems to know the reason for the celebration.

Family and friends get together and have a lot of fun, but they don't know the meaning of the celebration.. I remember that last
year there was a great feast in my honor. The dinner table was full of delicious foods, pastries, fruits, assorted nuts and
chocolates. The decorations were exquisite and there were many, many beautifully wrapped gifts.

But, do you want to know something? I wasn't invited.

I was the guest of honor and they didn't remember to send me an invitation.

The party was for me, but when that great day came, I was left outside, they closed the door in my face .. and I wanted to be
with them and share their table.

In truth, that didn't surprise me because in the last few years all close their doors to me. Since I wasn't invited, I decided to
enter the party without making any noise. I went in and stood in a corner.

They were all drinking; there were some who were drunk and telling jokes and laughing at everything. They were having a grand time.

To top it all, this big fat man all dressed in red wearing a long white beard entered the room yelling Ho-Ho-Ho! He seemed drunk. He sat on the sofa and all the children ran to him, saying: "Santa Claus, Santa Claus" as if the party were in his honor!

At midnight all the people began to hug each other; I extended my arms waiting for someone to hug me and do you know no-one hugged me.

Suddenly they all began to share gifts. They opened them one by one with great expectation. When all had been opened, I looked to see if, maybe, there was one for me. What would you feel if on your birthday everybody shared gifts and you did not get one?

I then understood that I was unwanted at that party and quietly left.

Every year it gets worse. People only remember the gifts, the parties, to eat and drink, and nobody remembers me.

I would like this Christmas that you allow me to enter into your life.

I would like that you recognize the fact that almost two thousand years ago I came to this world to give my life for you, on the
cross, to save you.

Today, I only want that you believe this with all your heart.

I want to share something with you. As many didn't invite me to their party, I will have my own celebration, a grandiose party
that no one has ever imagined, a spectacular party. I'm still making the final arrangements. .

Today I am sending out many invitations and there is an invitation for you. I want to know if you wish to attend and I will make a reservation for you and write your name with golden letters in my great guest book.

Only those on the guest list will be invited to the party.

Those who don't answer the invite, will be left outside. Be prepared because when all is ready you will be part of my great
party.

See you soon.

I Love you!
Jesus Christ

Blessed Christmas to all. Lets continue to fight for truth, transparency and good governance for our church. We love our church. I believe that the time is near where we shall rejoice in Him for what is to come to Calvary Church.

I received this in my email last year. Happy reading.

THE TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

Have you ever wondered who and why would someone write a Christmas Carol that is so baffling as this?
What in the world do leaping lords, French hens, swimming swans, and especially the partridge who won't come out of the pear tree have to do with Christmas?

From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics.

It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember.

The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.

Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.

Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.

The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke &John.

The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament.

The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.

Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit:
Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy.

The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes.

Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control.

The ten lords a-leaping were the ten commandments.

The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples.

The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles' Creed.

So there is your history for today. This knowledge was shared with me and I found it interesting and enlightening and now I know how that strange song became a Christmas Carol.

Interesting eh?

Blessed Christmas everyone.

A note to all who know Dr Christopher Shun personally, his testimony on his missions trip to China is posted in Berita Calvary for reading.

Be encouraged by his testimony and be enlightened to know how God can use us if we are willing to be used by Him. We quote his words, "My purpose of my testimony is to help your readers, many as discouraged and alarmed, to focus on the spiritual matters concerning all committed Christians which is that our God is Awesome and we have an important part to play in the “Great Commission” which is not only for a select chosen few but all of us."

Feliz Navidad, everyone! May we all experience Jesus in a meaningful and powerful way this Christmas season~

-Not Only Christmas Day-

Lord, this is my prayer
Not only on Christmas Day
But until I see You face to face
May I live my life this way:

Just like the baby Jesus
I ever hope to be,
Resting in Your loving arms
Trusting in Your sovereignty.

And like the growing Christ child
In wisdom daily learning,
May I ever seek to know You
With my mind and spirit yearning.

Like the Son so faithful
Let me follow in Your light,
Meek and bold, humble and strong
Not afraid to face the night.

Nor cowardly to suffer
And stand for truth alone,
Knowing that Your kingdom
Awaits my going home.

Not afraid to sacrifice
Though great may be the cost,
Mindful how You rescued me
From broken-hearted loss.

Like my risen Savior
The babe, the child, the Son,
May my life forever speak
Of who You are and all You've done.

So while this world rejoices
And celebrates Your birth,
I treasure You, the greatest gift
Unequaled in Your worth.

I long to hear the same words
That welcomed home Your Son,
"Come, good and faithful servant,"
Your Master says, "Well done."

And may heaven welcome others
Who will join with me in praise
Because I lived for Jesus Christ
Not only Christmas Day

Genesis 9

12 And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."

Sorry but that "rainbow" is just a refraction of natural light through glass. It's like a prism ... not a real rainbow.

Anonymous said...

Dear Anonymous 3.51pm

Please re-read my testimony carefully. My actual words were "The phenomenon, regardless of whether it was caused by a natural rainbow across the sky then or something else, is a reminder to her (and to all of us) that indeed, victory is already in our hands."

I was emphasising on the symbolism of the rainbow colors, not what caused the colors to appear at that particular instant. Our God is a creative God, He has more than one way to impart His answers to us when we seek Him sincerely.

It surprises me dear "Anonymous" that you would doubt that it was an answer from God to my wife who was praying for our church. You know, it took that particular passenger to lift up that particular window shade, at that precise time, when the sun was shinning at that prefect angle through that particular glass to cause that beautiful rainbow colors which would flash right in front of my wife and within the reach of her hands so can she can photograph it for all to see.

You may not believe in miracles but we do and we are truly thankful that God answers prayers in many creative ways.

Or you may argue that it is a co-incidence but as Dick Eastman once said, " The more I pray, the more co-incidences happen". In the Christian world, we simply call it a miracle.

I’d like to share testimony. Days before my mum passed away, she was not able to talk anymore, she was like vegetable (due to a very huge tumor suppressing on her brain and nerves which had collapsed) but she is, of course, still able to hear and understand what is happening around her. Right before my eyes, one of my sister claimed that my mother is not a Christian (my sister always tried to talk my mum out to be a Christian) even though my mum was baptised and been going to church before she fell sick.

At that moment, God granted me instant wisdom, how to prove and assured my mum that she is indeed a Christian (bearing in mind, at that time, there were only 4 persons in the room, my mum, my sister, the care-giver and me).

So, what I did was, I talked loudly into my mum's ear, and this is how I said, “mum, if you agreed with me with what I say, just squeezed my palm very tight! and if you disagree, don’t squeeze. I asked my mum, “you believed in Jesus and you are a Christian, agree?” At that moment, my mum squeezed my palm very hard. Victory, my sister and the care-giver saw it, and they were speechless and have to acknowledge, truly my mum is very firm and fervent in her walk as a Christian though she was utterly helpless.

I shared this as the Lord prompted me, this is how God worked, in times of frailties and challenges, God is prompt to grant us wisdom and courage and strength to move on. Praise the Lord.

My prayer to God during this season is that:
1. He will cause Senior Pastor, all Associate Pastors (incl SAP) and Board of Deacons to offer themselves to resign in order to take the spiritual responsibility for allowing Calvary Church to fall into sad state of affairs.
2. He will allow AG Council to step in to call for EGM to elect a caretaker governing council.
3. He will help the caretaker governing council to redraft a new church constitution incorporating Kingdom Governance in all respects (including leadership and financial stewardship).
4. He will give His wisdom to the worshippers to vote in new leadership based on a biblical-led model.

(of course, some existing Associate Pastors and deacons can be invited back to provide continuity of all services. We all must remember we are here to serve God and God alone)

Anonymous said...

Amen to New Beginning for 2009's prayers.

Year-end appraisal on the performance of Senior Pastor by the Board of Deacons should include:

1. Is he a blessing or a stumbling to the growth of the church?

2. Is he responsible for the declining number of worshippers over last few years?

3. Is he responsible for removing all leaders for voicing out for Truth, Transparency and Governance?

4. Is he causing worshippers to slow down or entirely stop giving to Calvary Church?

5. Is he responsible for misleading the church in the whole CCC project?

6. Is he responsible for systematically sidelining others and imposingly 'manuvering' his own children to take over key positions?

7. Is he responsible for manipulating deacons and pastors to achieve his agenda?

8. Is he coaxing a single deacon as Human Resource Head to promote and give himself and family members higher positions and higher salaries?

9. Is he responsible for all the endless list of abuse of all sorts as testified by many in Calvary Church over his tenure as Sn Pastor for last 30 plus years?

New Beginning for 2009,

I agree with your prayer requests for change of leadership in Calvary Church and to ask God for a fresh anointing for our church.

I am reminded of the Lord's illustration that we can't put new wine into old wineskins, it will burst the wineskin. Furthermore we can't patch up a worn out piece of cloth because it will just tear further.

We pray that God will intervene and miraculously direct PG, PG2 and BOD to resign and bow out graciously and hence changes can take place.

There is still much to be done. There are many needs around us. The church cannot be waiting and watching around and yet is impotent to help.

Besides we must work when it is day, when night comes we can't work anymore.

Let us put on the armour of God and do spiritual battle to pray fervently for God's will to be done in Calvary Church and that God will bring about the much needed change and fresh anointing upon us. We truly desire to be vessels fit for the Lord's use!

May Justice, Truth and Righteousness be full restored in Calvary Church again.

God bless.

Reading KC's testimony about Karen seeing a rainbow when the plane was over Mumbai, I was trying to decipher what was the significance of the timing & position when she saw it.

Now, thanks to comments by "Great Show" at 11.24pm on 29th Dec & "Eyes Opened" at 12.27am on 30th Dec on the next post, God has revealed why He showed the rainbow to Karen over Mumbai of all places.

Mumbai is the Bollywood of the East. Yes! Mumbai is the place where actors & actresses converge.

Is God trying to tell us that PG's days of "acting" & "sandiwara" are numbered & will be ending soon?

Is God also telling us that the same is true for NFF who "acted" like she didn't know what CBT is?

God please show us "The End" of this Bollywood movie called "The SAGA at CC" starring PG & NFF. We have had enough of the bad acting by them.

The creative power of redemption comes through the preaching of the GOSPEL, but NEVER because of the personality of the preacher !!!!!

Dear Bros & Sis in Christ,

We are meeting tonight for our weekly Prayer session to seek God for His continual wisdom and guidance. Most of all, we are praying to a soon closure of this whole saga in our beloved church.

Join us in the spirit, wherever you are, at 8.30pm, to pray for

1. Our church, the leaders and the fellowship of believers.

2. Our 2 church auditors, Bro. Chow and Bro. Tam. They are now carrying a heavy responsibility of having to respond to the call by church members and worshippers to conduct the Special Audit. Pray for God's wisdom and strength to make the right decision.

3. We know of a few leaders who have been "relieved" of church responsibities which they have been serving the Lord for so many years before. Pray for these hurting ex-leaders of our church that our Lord Jesus Christ, will be their source if comfort.

4. Clear and direct leading from God to be given to the TTG members to know exactly the next step to take as we approach 2009.

God bless and Happy New Year!

Thank you Karen for giving us the pointers to pray and I would like to add:

5. That the strongholds of pride, pretence and deception in CC Pastors and BOD be broken in Jesus' Name.

6. That members and worshippers will be able to worship in spirit and in truth without pretence and falsehood. That there is a real desire for pursuit of honesty, truthfulness, openness and integrity among all who come to worship in Calvary Church.

7. That the hurts and disappointment among ex-leaders, members and worshippers caused by the neglect and irresponsible acts and decisions of CC leaders be healed and removed by the Blood of Jesus.

8. That with God's divine intervention & direction truly a new beginning with the Lord's presence and fresh anointing will be ushered into CC this New Year season!

God bless us all as we welcome in the New Year!

Matthew 9:13 NIV

“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners”

Our Father in Heaven
You are the great Physician and our Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Jireh.

We come to you with our sicknesses.
We have:
Sinned
Lied
Coveted
Manipulated
Pride
Dishonesty

We ask for your forgiveness.
We ask for healing for the church.
God, Your word says, is the sick that needs a doctor. Lord we are very, very sick. Come Lord Jesus, break us, melt us, mould us and fill us. Deliver us with Your precious blood.

We need you as the Great Physician for our church

As we stand on the threshold of 2009, amidst the scary prospects of further global economic turbulence, we can certainly thank our Almighty God that we believers have a wonderful Saviour who will carry us through.

Yes, I’m reminded of one of my favourite oldies, Jesus is a wonderful Saviour, and I want to share the lyrics with you, my fellow bloggers and Calvarites who stand up for Truth, Transparency and Good Governance (TTG).

Jesus is a wonderful Saviour,
He will carry you through
Jesus is a wonderful Saviour,
He will carry you through
Jesus is a wonderful Saviour,
He will carry you through
Until the battle’s done and the victory is won,
my Lord will carry you through,
O my loving brother,
when the world’s on fire,
You’ll need my Jesus to be your Saviour.
He’ll hide you ever in the Rock of Ages,
In the Rock of Ages, just cleft for you.

As we enter a brand new year, let us as members of His local church in CC (including PG, GFF, BOD, pastors and all those in leadership) resolve to do the following:

1) Pray for the Truth
2) Desire the Truth
3) Speak the Truth
4) Listen to the Truth
5) See the Truth
6) Think of the Truth
7) Meditate on the Truth
8) Feel for the Truth
9) Pursue the Truth
10)Don’t suppress the Truth
11)Don’t twist the Truth
12)Don’t add to the Truth

I believe that as we commit ourselves to the above 12 resolutions for 2009, Jesus Christ our wonderful Saviour will definitely carry us through and restore the fortunes of Calvary Church Kuala Lumpur, and Psalm 126 will certainly be on our lips everyday

Psalm 126
When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dream.

Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
and our tongue with shouts of joy;
then it was said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”

The Lord has done great things for us,and we rejoiced.

Restore our fortunes, O Lord,

May those who sow in tears reap with shouts of joy.

Those who go out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing,

Blessed New Year 2009 to one and all. May you have a fruitful year ahead. Maranatha!

Calvary Today & the TTG wishes all Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Let us embrace 2009, with the assuring Words of our Lord Jesus Christ,

"PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU; MY PEACE I GIVE YOU. I DO NOT GIVE TO YOU AS THE WORLD GIVES. DO NOT LET YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED AND DO NOT BE AFRAID...WHEN HE, THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, COMES, HE WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH...HE WILL BRING GLORY TO ME BY TAKING FROM WHAT IS MINE AND MAKE IT KNOWN TO YOU." (John 14:27 & 16:13-14)

Heavenly Father, we invite the presence of your Holy Spirit into our lives in this new year. We ask for the Holy Spirit's guidance and wisdom for we believe what the Psalmist says,
"IF THE LORD DELIGHTS IN A MAN'S WAY, HE MAKES HIS STEPS FIRM; THOUGH HE STUMBLE, HE WILL NOT FALL, FOR THE LORD UPHOLDS HIM WITH HIS HAND."

Lord Jesus, in 2009, we commit ourselves afresh to you, to seek after you and to be obedient to you so that your purposes will be acomplished through our lives.

We will hold on to your Word,
"TRUST IN THE LORD AND DO GOOD; DWELL IN THE LAND AND ENJOY SAFE PASTURE. DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD AND HE WILL GIVE YOU THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART.

COMMIT YOUR WAY TO THE LORD; TRUST IN HIM AND HE WILL DO THIS: HE WILL MAKE YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS SHINE LIKE THE DAWN, THE JUSTICE OF YOUR CAUSE LIKE THE NOONDAY SUN." (Psalm 37:3-6)

We look with anticipation of all the good things you have in store for us all in this new year.

In Jesus' Precious Name we pray. Amen!

Thank God for His wonderful assurance to us. This is an extract from The Maxwell Leadership Bible at Page 960

Quote:

"GOD IS ULTIMATELY IN CONTROL AND WILL MERCIFULLY ACT FOR HIS PEOPLE
(Lamentations 3:21-36)

Jeremiah the leader wisely remains fixed on a vision of God's sovereignty: God is more powerful than the Babylonians. He focuses on God's nature; God is full of mercy and compassion. He dwells on his vision of God's plans; God will deliver His people and give them a hopeful future. " Unquote-

We believe God is gracious and merciful to His children. He has wonderful plans for CC and we look forward to, and hold fast to the vision that with God's Help and Providence Justice, Truth and Righteousness shall be restored in our Church!

Lam 3:22 -26

"Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassion fail not.

They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.

"The Lord is my portion," says my soul,
"Therefore I hope on Him!"

The Lord is good to those who wait for Him.
To the soul who seeks Him.

It is good that one should hope and wait quietly
For the salvation of the Lord."

We shall have no fear even in the midst of challenges and difficulties for the New Year for we are assured:

Isaiah 43:1

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine."

Praise the Lord. Yes, we look forward to the good things to come in 2009!

In Jesus' Mighty Name we pray.
AMEN

I received a call from a friend on 31st December evening. Tears were in my eyes when I heard that Dr. Lum received an AR-letter from the church. The AR-LETTER (read, AR!!!) said that Dr. Lum is no longer a member of the church. Reason given : causing confusion. If I may refer all readers to Rule VIII : Cessation Of Church Membership of the Calvary Church Constitution (as of 21st March 2003) which I believe is the latest edition. For the benefit of those who do not have the latest Constitution booklet, let me repeat a section of Rule VIII. Item 1 "The right to discipline Church members shall be vested in the Board of Directors. The names of those who walk disorderly and depart from the stated Tenets of Faith and are unrepentent of unscriptural conduct such as sexual immorality and fraud, etc. shall be removed from the Church Membership Roll, by a two-thirds majority vote of the Board of Deacons with the counsel of the Church Elders". I have two basic qustions.
Question 1 : Can anybody help me to understand whether "speaking the truth" meets the criteria of item 1 of Rule VIII? Perhaps it is the level of my English that I cannot comprehend the logic of the BOD's decision.
Dear readers, (i) Dr. Lum has been a deacon for eleven years. (ii) What is his personal gain from speaking the truth? (iii) He is a doctor by profession and holds a Masters in Divinity.
Question 2 : Who are the church elders who have also agreed to the decision?

Anonymous said...

Dear KKB,

From what you extracted from the Church Constitution,
"those who walk disorderly and depart from the stated Tenets of Faith and are unrepentent of unscriptural conduct such as sexual immorality and fraud,"

It look like the person who should be removed from Church Membership is SP himself.

1. He certainly has not walked in an orderly manner which we as church members would be proud to follow after. He does not walk humbly with his expensive suits and shoes.

2. He does not seem to be like one who walk by faith in his life. He tell others to "sell their possession" to give to God but he himself is hoarding his own. So he is not keeping the tenets of faith in the true sense.

3. I do not see any tinge of remorse or repentance in his conduct which is very unscriptural - dropping his towel in front of ladies in a public club is not only unscriptural but shameful. Taking money that does not belong to him and still says it is an ok thing to do is sickening. Up till today, he still declares that he has done nothing wrong.

4. Sexual immorality. This one I won't elaborate since it is hearsay. But I have heard stories of him commiting this unscriptural conduct.

5. Fraud. Taking RM1.9 million from the missions dept and putting it in his personal CIM is not fraud then what? I know, it is a gift from the BOD.

So Dr. Lum has committed which of the unscriptural conduct as listed above? CAUSING CONFUSION you say? But I don't read that causing confusion is a reason for removal from Church Membership.

TTG members, I think you guys are next. So sad for Calvary Church members, nothing is sure with the BOD. You can be here today and gone tomorrow.

2008's been a year in which we see God doing great things in Calvary Church.

Within 8 SHORT months, God has manifested His omniscience, sovereignty and faithfulness by giving us 4 miracles.

God revealed the CIM scheme showing how the church leadership is messing around with His money.

God called the EGM to expose to the congregation what poor stewards of His grace the church leadership is.

God made sure that all (not just members) can attend the EGM to get His Truth.

God took back His money from CIM and put it back in Missions.

2009 will see our magnificent and majestic God cleaning up His house. The church leadership will make one wrong move after another in ever unsuccessful attempts to cover up their wilful sins. Taking away Dr. Lum's membership is such a blatant attempt to remove evidence of their crimes. The church leadership must think they are smarter than God!

May we concerned Calvarites wait on the Lord as He continues to amaze us with His ways that are higher than ours! May He use the TTG and Dr. Lum more mightily than ever to restore Calvary Church!

Let us be humble and heed the Word of God:

Ezekiel 22:23-31
"And the word of the Lord came to me saying, "Son of man, say to her:'You are a land that is not cleansed or rained on in the day of indignation.'

The conspiracy of her prophets in her midst is like a roaring lion tearing the prey; they have devoured people;

they have taken treasure and precious things; they made many widows in her midst.

Her priests have violated My Law and profaned My holy things; they have not distinguished between holy and unholy,

nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean; and have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.

Her princes in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey; to shed blood, to destroy people, and get dishonest gain.

Her prophets plastered them with untempered mortar, seeing false visions, and divining lies for them, saying 'Thus says the Lord God,'

when the Lord had not spoken.

The people of the land have used oppressions, committed robbery, and mistreated the poor and needy; and they have wrongfully oppress the stranger.

So I sought for a man among them who could build a wall and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it;

but I found no one.

Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with fire of My wrath;

and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads," says the Lord GOD. "

God is looking, watching out and is fully aware of all the happenings in CC. Nothing is hidden from Him though it may seem Pastors and BOD can hide from men.

God is moving and working in His Own supreme ways! Surely God will redeem His people!

Come Lord Jesus .. come in Your own gentle ways. Come sweet Spirit I pray...

I commit all our requests to God in Jesus' Wonderful Name.

AMEN

Prayer for the Day

Father, I come to you with an humble heart today, realizing that I need you in my life to help me and guide me in all of my ways.

I cannot accept all the responsibilities that seem to be mine and accomplish them on my own.

Please show me my priorities and help me to lay down those things that are not really mine to do.

Help me to trust you that you will take care of the things that I cannot change and to work on those things that are my part to change.

I desire to walk in equity with others. Help me to treat others today as I desire to be treated; realizing that I shall reap what I sow.
If I am fair and kind and sow those seeds, so shall I reap fairness and kindness in return.

Let me be more Christ-like today through the power of your Holy Spirit.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Unless you mean it, do not say so. PG,BOD+ APs think all these are calling " Bluff ", and haven't you realised they got bolder in their ruthless actions-- such as removing Dr. Lum's church Membership.
Simply outrageous!

And expect more of such underhand tactics to silent TTG advocates. But we will press on no matter how they try to PERSECUTE us because TRUTH ALWAYS prevail & GOD is Sovereign.

i feel sad too to hear of Dr Lum's removal.but on the other hand, i know that they can remove anybody to cover their evidence but they can never go against God's way of opening the sheeps eyes to their unbiblical deeds. The truth will eventually prevail.there are already sign of CC collapsing.its just a matter of time, and perhaps this is SP and BOD last fight of breath. For this reason, I would assume they won't stop at Dr. Lum. More to come.
The issue here is, will this strategy win back the hurting sheeps heart? Maybe we(the hurting sheeps) are their least concern.
To Dr Lum, I salute u for ur courage to make ur stand and`risk of being persecuted.
i shall continue to pray even more`harder for SP and BOD to repent.

Warning ?
What Warning ??
The Good Book has given so much warning.
Princes and Princesses are not taking all these warnings.

Law of the country will put them in Sungei Buloh

Law of God will put them in HELL !!

But they do not fear both.

They continue with their actions and think that they can escape both Sungei Buloh and Hell.

Now they are got someone to said they sponsor his grandchild to USA.

They are doing damaged control, but at the expense of Dr.Lum.

My question right now is,
Who is the liar????
PG or Dr. Lum?????

Dr. Lum is a medical doctor.
Dr. Lum hold a Masters in Divinity.

My conviction is, if God allow Jesus stood trial before the authorities, why not our leaders that had cheated us.

If PG had heeded to the warning, he would not be committing more and more sins.

Laws are there to keep us within the fences.
Church constitutions are there to keep us within the fences.
The Good Book is there to keep us within the fences.

So what does one do when they are out of the fences?????
Does he need to pay for the consequences ???????

What must I do if my own child steal many times from me ???
Do I need to punish the child ???

The youths in the church are looking at outcome of the whole saga.

There are so many fences set before PG, but he is crushing all the fences.

It is shocking to hear of Dr. Lum's removal from the Church Membership. It is clear evidence that the action of the BOD is high-handed and blatant. Who are the Elders? Is it PG and PG2 in this case? The words used "causing confusion" is too general and vague. Was an opportunity given to Dr. Lum to answer the allegations of "causing confusion"? Even in the secular world for any misconduct a domestic inquiry must be held and allegations proved before any disciplinary action can be taken and the person concerned must also be given an opportunity to defend himself/herself (e.g. if the incident at Lake Club is true, I am sure PG was given a chance to explain before the Management took disciplinary action against him even though it happened in public).

Oh well. The BOD can say that they need not justify their actions as long as they think they are right as they possess absolute power. Isn't this unconstitutional and flawed?

With so many allegations or postings of wrongdoings, dictatorship, nepotism, manipulations of Church's funds, excesses by PG and PG2, has the BOD except one ever stood up and correct the misconduct of PG and PG2? Why is the BOD silent all this time? Are the allegations true? Silence is taken as condoning the misconduct. So this silence by the BOD, AP's, PG and PG2 is causing them to go deeper and deeper into the abyss.

Or deeper into the quicksand. The Concerned Calvarites are throwing them a lifeline. But if they are still stubborn and refuse to grab this line, they may soon find themselves sinking under the quicksand.

BTW, it is said the BOD, AP's, PG and PG2 do not read the blog, who can buy that? Even if they don't read it themselves but get another party to read and either update or print it for them, it is the same, right? Look at Dr. Lum's case in retrospect.

Dr. Lum, thank you for conviction and stand on these matters.

Was an opportunity given to Dr. Lum to answer the allegations of "causing confusion"?

I heard, and this may be hearsay, but I heard that opportunity was given but once the interview was out, he refused to meet with church leaders to discuss the matter any further. Could this have been a missed opportunity?

Since he has come out and said the things he has said, it is only naturally for the BOD to assume that he is against what they do and decide and hence it is assumed that he is against them. If it is true that he did not want to meet to discuss or explain the matter any further to the BOD and SP, then it is quite apparant why he has been removed from membership.

Causing confusion in this context could simply mean stating opinions in public which 'may' cause division among the members and church goers which simply hinders spiritual growth. Again, this is only an assumption.

I am not on anybody's side, but it's logical. It isn't even an issue of fairness or unfairness. Just simple logic that if you are a member of any 'club' - if you speak out and go against the club, they simply remove you from membership.

I am sure it can be argued both ways on why he should or shouldn't be removed from membership, but since there are so many people here who feel he shouldn't, I am just trying to understand the other perspective on why he should be, from a very 'general' viewpoint. Of course the people on this blog seem not to like to read general viewpoints and seem to prefer people just commenting and voicing support, but I think an educated society would welcome other views and suggestions, if only to encourage a healthy forum open to discussion.

But alas am I disappointed :( Please please wake up and dont be deceived by PG anymore . you are supposed to represent us not PG !)

As for Dr Lum not wanting to meet up with them is only 1 side of the story....If I remember correctly Dr Lum did try to make an appointment to see PG before he resign but PG was always too busy to make time for the meeting. Now that he has resigned they want to meet him and Now said Dr Lum do not want to meet ?? looks like what they do is always right and the other party is the one to blame !!!

Dr Lum , between you and PG ....I believe you 100 % and to let you know you are not alone as many of us are behind you ...all the way ....so no fear of any thing they are doing to discredit u , as this is expected of them .

God is never too early or too late ..He is always on time ....and we know that Victory is coming soon ..in His Perfect Timing !

LEAVE NO STONE UNTURNED.

Quite frankly, whatever that has been asked in this audit is nothing but just the tip of the ice-berg.

BOD & PG are simply responding piece-meal and trying to be seen they are "acting" --indeed, they are literally putting on a show.

Truly, if BOD is resolved to getting to the bottom of the ALL the 'dirt' revealed, they themselves ought to step down because they are implicated too. The Members can then with the assistance of AOG set-up an Independent Commission to INVESTIGATE the last 25 years, if not,the entire duration of PG 's tenure as Sr.Pastor.

It was no coindence that I met with CC's former auditor after service today, that this person (who has left CC) said: "During that time in the '90s I wondered why members didn't query the accounts at AGM because there were obvious items which raised questions... Anyway, I'm glad at least now you have a group who is doing so!"
( Now consider this remark carefully and think even as far back then something was amiss!)

By the way, the Church's FUNDS have needlessly been used and wasted by PG & BOD seeking legal opinions and professional services whenever Members/Congregation challenge questionable actions of theirs. This in itself, raise many more questions, doesn't it?

The time has come: the TRUTH cannot be suppressed, try whoever they may be-- within and without. For God is God of Justice.

Bro Hon Meng , are we giving the auditors a time frame to respond / report back with the results of their findings ? Just concerned as if not there may be more cover up by PG and the BOD or more 'behind the scene' amendments or even more Sponsors coming out re all the fundings ...as u know PG do have a lot of rich faithful followers.

PG - DrLum

YES - NO -- Church money transfer to personal account
YES - NO -- Drop towel in club
YES - NO -- Found in Sun Complex
YES - NO -- Use Church money for gym
YES - NO -- Use church money 4 travel

Actually who should be removed from membership??????

SOMETHING IS REALLY WRONG !!!!!
SOMETHING IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!!!

WHAT'S WRONG ???????????

I am also trying to understand the perspective on why Dr. Lum is removed.

Hi,
Here is interesting article for everyone to read especially for PASTORS.

The marks of a true shepherd

(Arthur Pink, Studies in the Scriptures, May, 1939)

How diligently should they scrutinize their motives, who think of entering the ministry; for thousands have abused this Divine institution through love of ease, desire for authority and reputation, or love of money--and brought upon themselves "greater damnation" (James 3:1). Thousands have invaded the pastoral office in an unauthorized manner, to fleece sheep rather than feed them, robbing Christ of His honor and starving His people.

Solemn beyond words is it to observe how sternly our Lord denounced these false shepherds of His day. (Matthew 23) As J. C. Ryle rightly said, "Nothing seemed so offensive to Christ as a false teacher of religion, a false prophet, or a false shepherd. Nothing ought to be so much feared by the Church, be so plainly rebuked, opposed and exposed."

What are the marks of a true shepherd, how are God’s people to identify those called and qualified by Him to minister unto His people?

First, the genuine pastor has the doctrine of Christ on his LIPS. The ministers of the new covenant are described as those who had "renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness." Christendom today is infested with men who are full of deceit and hypocrisy, trimming their sails according to whatever direction the breeze of public opinion is blowing.

"We have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God." (2 Cor. 4:2). The true servant of Christ holds back nothing which is profitable, no matter how unpalatable it may be unto his hearers. He is one who magnifies not himself, nor his denomination, but Christ--His wondrous Person, His atoning blood, His exacting claims.

Second, the genuine pastor has the Spirit of Christ in his HEART. It is the Spirit who opens to him the mysteries of the Gospel, so that he is "the faithful and wise servant" (Matt. 24:45). It is the Spirit of Christ who gives him a love for His sheep, so that it is his greatest delight to lead them into the green pastures of His Word. It is the Spirit of Christ who enables him to use "great boldness of speech" (2 Cor. 3:12), so that he shuns not to declare all the counsel of God. It is the Spirit of Christ who makes him to be "prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction" (2 Tim. 4:2). It is the Spirit of Christ who gives efficacy to his ministry, making it fruitful according to the sovereign pleasure of God.

Third, the genuine pastor has the example of Christ in his LIFE, which is a conforming of him to the image of his Master. It is true, sadly true, that there is not one of them who does not fall far short both of the inward and outward image of Christ. Yet there are some faint tracings of His image visible in all His true servants. The image of Christ is seen in their words, spirit, actions; otherwise we have no warrant to receive them as God’s servants.

Find a man (no easy task today!) who has the doctrine of Christ on his lips, the Spirit of Christ in his heart, and the example of Christ in his life--and you find one of His genuine ministers--all others are but "thieves and robbers."

Loves,
James Wong

Key Words for yesterday's sermon by PG : Sell, Give, Follow.

Key Application thoughts for us to Ponder:
Does PG, PG2, APs and BOD do the same or they just do lip service?
PG and APs tell others to apply Scriptures and warn of consequences if we do not heed the Word, but seriuosly do they apply the same measure to judge others as well as for themselves?

PG says sell does not mean literally selling, it just means ownership belongs to God. Give does not mean literally giving it means making available.

You see that is twisting Scriptures again to suit PG's arguments!

All to sooth the listeners' ears and to lull them into submission and obedience to PG's interpretation not God's meaning and intention. You see in CC only PG's interpretation is correct. BUT we shall not be fooled anymore!

CC Pastors and BOD have not been accountable and responsible to members and worshippers in CC so we shall not be bluffed anymore!

We desire to know the Truth nothing BUT the Truth. Indeed the Truth shall set CC free!

We eagerly await the day when we are all set free from the bondages of fear, blindness and deception in CC! Hallelujah!

Thanks, James, for that article. After reading some of the Comments made by different ones, I was also getting tired of our SP's preaching. There is not one message that comes from his mouth recently that does not carry words that is subtlely if not openly telling us we must "give". Of course he says "give" is not just about money. If money is not in his heart then why keep using words like "generous God", "sell, give and follow", and he already warn us in advance to expect more "money talk" - the dangers of God's blessings or something like that.

All this is him paving our minds mentally for this Sunday's Faith Promise Pledge - "Sell, Give and Follow". I think I shall visit SIB this Sunday.

I did a prayer walk in church yesterday.
Half walk through the message, I walk out to the washroom. And instead of going back to my seat, I felt I needed to do a prayer walk around the church.

And so I did, I felt so lifted up.

I had a wonderful time praising and worshiping the Lord God Almighty.

May I suggest prayer walk around the church each time you are not listening to the particular preacher.

Let's do a prayer walk !!!!!

Let's bind

the Jezebel spirit
the spirit of lies
the spirit of disunity
the spirit of deception
the spirit of manipulation
the spirit of coveteousness

In Jesus Wonderful Name
Amen

Prayer changes things

Dear very tired

i was just thinking, 2 messages in a roll that meant to "SARS" (in chinese--sars-sars-sars), wow! PG is an outdated preacher, his preaching is meant for "wars" also. he is outdated, he now tells us on new year eve n first sunday of 2009 to "sell all your possession". I am now calling, our roll of honor--Mr PG and wife, son and daughter to sell all their houses in Bangsar and Taman Tun Ismail that could easily worth altogether about RM10 mil. Next sell all their luxury and branded cars, and empty all their EPF too.

My second calling is to Bernadett, Patrick, Steven, Han, Edward, Philip sell all your possession, especially bother Han who mentioned in one of the AGM that God spoken to him in the plane while he flew back fr overseas, he was so convinced that we should raise the bar, so, hello to all deacons, raise your bar of faith now--sell+sell+sell, but not sars+sars+sars, OK?

3rd calling, all supporter of PG, you guys shouted very loud to support him during EGM, now is the time to prove your love for PG, sell all your possession...kekeke to all.

Anonymous said...

SARS+SARS, you obviously didn't listen close enough to the message. He did explain "sell" doesn't mean literally go out and sell. But it wouldn't matter, as you choose to hear only what you want.

Dear SoonLing, Bro. & Sis in Christ,

Prayer walk is surely help if our ears deny the preaching from SP. My heart and ear like many others shut off each time upon hearing SP voice. My desire is always longing to be encouraged with the preaching of "love" each time I step into the sanctuary. What a disappointment after hearing another round of material's preaching and worst still from SP's mouth yesterday. I would like to suggest for prayer walk as when any of the pastors end their sermon. We could just walk out from the sanctuary, group ourselves, line in a single file and start to have deliverance prayer while circulating around the church. We could actually walk closer to all the entrance door and probably end after the benediction. By suggesting this, I shall be the first one to kick off starting from this Sunday's evening service. I will continue to pray asking God to shower us with His great mercy.

Let's us do anything onto Him in unison. Remember CC is our Father's house and not SP's. I urge everyone of you who love CC to stay put and not let the TTG (Christian Knight) to fight alone.

Commit in Jesus Name, Amen
Richard Tan

Hello anti sars,

So many scriptures in the bible - 66 books altogather. How come SP's message week in week out use only the scriptures that talk about sell possessions, generous, give? No other topic in the Bible you mean?

Of course he got say, sell does not mean possession only but I ask you if someone say I must sell something, and that person say, "I don't mean sell your possession or things that you have" then what he means by sell? I can only sell things. This is normal everyday people on the street talk. That is all we can understand - sell things, give money, follow the Lord Jesus Christ - this is church talk.

When a pastor say sell, it means sell my things. When a pastor say give, it means give my money. When a pastor say follow, it means I follow Jesus Christ. If a pastor don't mean this, then he must choose other things to say. Don't say confusing things. World already confusing enough. Pastors must learn to say what it literally means - not say sell but not literally sell. Sorry don't know what that means. Sell or don't sell?

Are Calvarites causing PG to die poor?

Hi SARS+SARS,

U are absolutely right that PG, BOD & APs must be desperate for PG to preach the same message at Watchnight Service & then again immediately following that on Communion Sunday.

Is it that Concerned Calvarites are actually heeding the call to Turn Off The Tap? And PG, BOD & APs are feeling the pinch of low cashflow? Well, "No Money No Talk" is it?

But PG is still talking & talking, plus PG is trying to pyscho (aka brainwash) the uninformed Calvarites to sell & give to him.

Let's informed the uninformed & enlighten the unenlightened by NOT just wearing White at ALL Sunday Services BUT let's talk to the Non-White Calvarites so that they are informed & enlightened. Then the TAP will be tightened such that PG's cashflow will be reduced to a trickle.

Then it will be truly "No Money No Talk" for PG, BOD & APs.

PG, don't just Talk & Talk & Talk, we have heard enough from you & with the same message over & over again, PG, you are sounding like a broken record.

PG, what we want from you is for you to "Walk the Talk". If you love your neighbour, why do you SACK Dr Lum (from church membership) who had served as a Deacon in the church faithfully for 11 years?

PG, you are a man without love - you don't love your Sheep & thus your Sheep won't love you lor!

PG, you always say that you will reap what you sow. So the present predicament in CC is your fruits from your sowing over the past 10 - 15 years. It's your own doing, only you can undo it by swallowing your pride & repent to God, plus ask the church for forgiveness for All your misdeeds.

SK (in reading), don't pretend lah we know u are reading CT, please print a copy for PG.

God will move and make you feel how to give in times to come.

Isn't it Faith Promise Sunday this coming Sunday 11th January 2009? All the "sermons" on "money, money, money," (Abba- Mama Mia) are preparation for that mah. And of course they're beginning to feel the pinch; the wells are running dry.

I totally agree with some of you, the moment PG speaks, my system just shut off. I just cannot swallow the words (brainwashing tactics) that has been used by him. Read between the lines when he preaches. Seek for discernment. Sorry to say I've lost my trust and respect for him.

"Oh dear Heavenly Father, have mercy on me if it is my attitudes that needed to be changed. But Father, should anybody uses Your words for their own personal agendas, in the name of our dear Lord Jesus Christ, I cast out that evil spirit, and I pray for your mercy upon them. May Your name be glorified oh Lord. In Jesus' name I pray and ask."

I was a Calvarite many years ago. After reading so many testimonies of spiritual abuses by PG and his love for money I believe these are the consequences of some unbiblical and wrong teachings that were preached CC. Prior to the present crisis, most Calvarites were not prepared to examine the Scriptures to see if what PG was teaching was true.
I attended CC for several years in the 80s and was baptized by PG. As a young Christian I did not possess enough biblical knowledge to discern some of the sermons preached in CC and often end up feeling guilty inside because I could not live up to the Christian “requirements” as preached by PG. He loved to emphasized tithing and he would quote scriptures from Malachi that if you did not give 10% of you income you were robbing God. I was not earning much then and was not able to title 10% and fulfill my pledge in faith promise. As a result I was living in guilt and felt condemned by the sermons preached in CC. I certainly did not experience the joy of being a Christian and was afraid to share my feeling with others for fear of being ridiculed by non-believers and subjected myself to the condemnation of fellow Christians.
When I migrated to Canada in the late 80s I tried to start a new life and put behind my joyless Christian experience in Malaysia. One afternoon when I was driving home from work my attention was drawn to a Christian ministry broadcast over my car radio. As I continued to listen I heard a message that I had never heard before during my many years in attending CC. The message was from the book of Hebrews that Jesus had ushered in a new covenant when he died on the cross and we are now living under the New Covenant (Testament) and not under the law of the Old Covenant (Testament). The radio preacher quoted scriptures from Hebrews that Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant. That was the first time I heard a sermon on the New Covenant.
Just before the end of the radio broadcast the preacher made an appeal to listeners to contribute any amount to support the radio ministry so that more people can listen to the gospel and message of grace. From that day onward I listen regularly to that radio program and very soon I began to send my financial contribution to support the program out of the desire of my heart and I knew that the truth had set me free.
As I was growing in grace I began to attend a Church that preaches the message of grace and believes in the New Testament way of free will giving. I am now a deacon of the church and led a bible study class. The church I am now serving is not rich but God is faithful to provide our needs and we always have a small surplus at the end of the year. We are very careful in our financial management and our senior pastor lives a modest life.
The radio ministry that changed my life is called People To People Ministry. You can listen to its teachings at www.realanswers.net
I would like to share with all of you the following message taken from People To People Ministry:
Title: Tithing
The topic of tithing has gotten very much attention from our listeners since it is often emphasized by churches across America. What is surprising, however, is the fact that the New Testament never requires us to give a tenth of our income as an offering to the Lord. You can look back for yourself. It just isn’t there. If tithing is so important why isn’t it mentioned several times in the New Testament?
Why is tithing not commanded in the New Testament?
The word "tithe" refers to a tenth of produce and livestock prescribed by the Old Covenant as the duty of every Hebrew to pay in order to support the Levite priesthood who were not permitted to earn wages; to pay for maintenance of the temple; and to provide sacrifices in worship. All these needs have been done away with under the New Covenant initiated by Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection. All believers are priests because we are children of God by faith in Jesus Christ. Each believer is now the temple of God since God gives us the Holy Spirit to indwell us at the moment of regeneration. There is no need to make sacrifices to cover our sin because through Christ’s one sacrifice of Himself all of our sins (past, present and future) are forgiven. Since the national system of worship in Israel is obsolete, the role of the tithe is ended. That is why the Bible does not require believers under the New Covenant to tithe. It’s just not there. (Eph. 3:12; I Cor. 6:19; Heb. 10:14)
What about the example of Abraham?
The only other time "tithe" is referred to is the incident where Abraham paid a tenth of his goods to Melchizedek. However that was a one time gift Abraham gave of his own free will as a public act of thanksgiving for a military victory, not as an act of obedience to a command of God. Furthermore, the fact that something was practiced before the Law does not make it a permanent command of God. If we use Abraham as an example for tithing then we need to follow him in other areas as well, such as circumcision and animal sacrifice. It’s funny that those last two areas are rarely mentioned along with tithing. (Gen. 14, 15 & 16) The real point of this incident as quoted in the New Testament is to show the supremacy of our priesthood in Christ represented by Melchizedek over the priesthood of Levi, a descendent of Abraham. (Hebrews 7:1-10)
If we don’t have to tithe, why give at all?
In other words, what is God’s pattern for giving under the New Covenant? The pattern is Jesus Christ Himself (2 Cor. 8:9). He walked as a living sacrifice in total dependency on the Father (Phil. 2:5-8). What are we to do? The very same thing (2 Cor. 8:5; Romans 12:1-2). So then our giving of money is to be a natural overflow of God’s love in service to others as we are controlled by His Spirit. Can that be 10% of everything we make? Certainly, and perhaps more or less as God works in our hearts individually. That is the freedom we have in Christ. For your own study read 2 Corinthians 8 and 9.
“For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.” 2 Corinthians 8:12
" Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7
You may wonder why the Apostle Paul, who wrote most of the New Testament, had devoted 2 chapters of his writings (2 Corinthians 8 and 9) on giving and had never mentioned the word title. He could have gone straight to the point by telling the believers to title instead of writing 2 chapters on God’s pattern for giving.

Read Between The Lines is 100% correct !!!

PG in the last 2 sermons on Watchnight & Communion Sunday was brainwashing the Sheep & then he will get Ps Rick Seaward to brainwash the Sheep AGAIN this Friday & this Sunday to give, give & give to PG.

I must confess that in July I gave back my Faith Promise card marked with "No More Faith In Senior Pastor".

This time I shall mark it with "No More Faith In PG" as in my books there is no Senior Pastor in CC at the moment & anyway PG is no longer fit to be SP of CC.

So if most Concerned Calvarites are now TOTT-ing because they have "No More Faith In PG", let us give them a Strong message this Sunday by sending back Faith Promise cards marked with protest messages; mine will be "No More Faith In PG".

Anonymous said...

Think better not to return the faith promise card at all. If everyone send in a blank card, it will give everyone including Rick Seaward, the impression that PG has a lot of supporters, when they pray over the cards.

All who support TTG should NOT return the faith promise card. Let the guest speaker be shocked to see just a small stack of cards.

Tis the best time to show that members are not happy. Spread word around.

UTANG for CCC

Overall budget by CC = 180 mil
New estimated by others = 225 mil
Land cost= 38 mil

Concrete structure only = 100 mil
Borrowing = 30 mil
Cash from CC = 35 mil
DEFICIT = 35 mil

The GIVE, GIVE, GIVE campaign is to persuade you
to give 35 million to clear the DEFICIT

QUESTIONS:

1.IF project fails (if money fails) who bears all the debts???

2.If project is a success, is CCC going to be money-making ???

3.If so, how to run CCC as a money-making venture ???

4.If not money-making, who will pay for the monthly maintenance of such a huge building???

Dear Delia,

On whether Dr. Lum met or did not meet with the Church leaders and your para:2, Anonymous Truth will Prevail on Jan. 04 at 10.26pm has adequately addressed this issue.

Your comment: Causing confusion in this context could simply mean stating opinions in public which 'may' cause division ...., DR. Lum is voicing his opinions and seeking transparency and truth. How about ER who said at the EGM that he needed three months to present the accounts for the extended ministries (correct me if I'm wrong). It is now more than four months and nothing is shown. Don't you think that ER should be given the boot since he has failed to honour his commitment and had failed to perform his duties?

On your comments on whether he should or shouldn't be removed from membership, I do not know whether you have been following this saga from the beginning. Who are the ones that are responsible for the present division in the Church?

Yes, many are looking forward to the Audit committee to find the truth. Let's pray that the committee will carry out its work without fear or favour and the scope will be complete not just selective.

Meanwhile, please discuss with members from other churches re:
1)How should church leaders church leaders conduct themselves?
2)Should the Senior Pastor be the Chairman of the Board of Deacons?

I have spoken to other church goers and the answers are
1)Whiter than white
2)It's wrong! How can that be?

Don't take my answers for granted. Find out yourself. Before you rebuke me for washing dirty linens on the streets, bear in mind that this blog is in the public domain and it is accessible to anyone worldwide.

Dr. Lum, a world of encouragement. No, no, I will not be spiritual but just a page from history. During World War 2, during the Japanese invasion of Philippines, General Macarthur, United States Army left for Australia. He made this famous statement: "I shall return" and yes, he did return and liberated Philippines and accepted the surrender of the Japanese Army on board a U.S. battleship in Tokyo Harbour. Also the TTG, please take heart. The moral of the story is 'in adverse circumstances, one can retreat a step but fight again on another day'.

"In the counsel of plenty is wisdom ...."

Hmm .......... SM, I think you have got a point there. Thanks.

Agreed that everyone should just "ta pau" (takeaway) the Faith Promise card this Sunday so that Ps Rick Seaward can see for himself the "support" that PG now has with the very minimal amount of Faith Promise cards.

Then we will all send in the Faith Promise cards next Sunday either intact (i.e. with nothing written on it) or better still use it to express your feelings about this whole mess at CC which is created by PG's misdeeds & compounded by the BOD's "Bodoh, Obstinate & Dumb" support for PG & not listening to their conscience & to God.

That way we would have 2 strikes instead of one - well done, SM. Once again, thanks.

WORTHY SHARING

I strongly recommend the following sharing to be singled out for POSTING in CT, with the consent of

"TITHING vs GIVING"
( title not in original comments)

How ironic, PG has emphasized "DISCERNMENT"!
YES, praise GOD, HE knows the sheep's needs and
provides accordingly. I urge us all to read these two
sharing again in the context of PG's well-crafted
message delivery on 'Selling and Tithing' and 'God place leaders in the church--we listen to them!'

God has stated these definitions ( Servanthood- master & Giving) in His true & living Word, lest any man try to deceive us.

Anonymous said...

I was at the 10:30am service at DH. Yeah, there was no sea of white. But it does not reflect the true scene. Many TTG supporters do not wear white for their own reasons. However HJK, PO wore white and if my eyesight did not fail me, so did PG. Are they trying to 'cause confusion'? Or an unseen hand made them do it?

The message that PG gave was a bitter disappointment.

He spoke of giving to the storehouse meaning the church one regularly attends. But what we give gets pilfered.

He drummed into us about fulfilling one's pledges. Many members especially retirees find it tough to fulfill their pledges. They save and save and scrimp. All for the Kingdom of God! Then they find it being used for business class travel, personal ministry, gym fees, selected childrens' airfares.

Then he spoke of his home in his pioneering days - his hall used as an auditorium, two rooms used for ministry work and his family of four squeezed in one room and yet they were happy. This is commendable. He started well but is not ending well. He has done a 180 degrees turn and lost his calling, what with designer suits, designer shoes, PG2's Chanel dress, owner of multiple properties and a family member owning a million dollar property and travels by business class. Form your own conclusion, lah whether your givings will be for God's work or for man.

Awesome is the word for CCC costing almost 270 million! I remember PG2 at one of her message from the pulpit said this or to that effect: "Is it God's vision or man's vision. If it is man's vision, may as well forget about it!" What a hardsell she did at that time.

With its elaborate structure and hi-tech furnishings, what will be the maintenance costs? Generating income thru rental will be extremely difficult - how many other churches will rent it for their functions, can forget about other faiths or political parties.
And on top of it, it is designed by a freemason! Symbols of freemasonry will be subtlely incorporated. Think of the torch and crown of the Statute of Liberty or the 'eye' on the back of the U.S. one dollar or the cornerstones of their design.

I had done my fair share of giving to CCC but no more.

With all the foregoing, it's time to TOTT. If you want to give, give to others why deserves it more.

Anonymous said...

Oops! typo error. Losing my concentration with so much troubled thoughts concerning CC.

The last line should read:

With all the foregoing, it's time to TOTT. If you want to give, give to others who deserve it more.

Anonymous said...

CCC will cost about RM300 million, including land cost, fittings and fixtures, audio and video equipment and consultants fee.

Maintenance cost will be between RM500,000.00 to RM700,000.00 per month for that scale of building.

Who says PG doesn't read the CT blog?

At the 10.30am service yesterday, PG said that we should give at THIS church & NOT the one down the street. Obviously PG has been reading the CT blog & thus he is aware that there are a lot of MDs (Missions Directors) nowadays in CC who will not hesitate to give to other churches & causes that are more worthy than PG's.

Anyway, PG is wrong & outdated. In the OT days, God's people only had 1 Temple of God & they had no choice but to send their tithes there.

Nowadays, there are so many Houses of God that giving to any one of them SHOULD be tantamount to giving to God BUT we must be discerning & not give to one that is like CC where the SP flies business class, uses Missions Funds to send his grandchild overseas, uses church funds for Jackie Chan gym for himself (such a vainpot), transfer Missions Funds in secret (without the knowledge of the church) to his own personal ministry, etc., etc., etc.

We MUST NOT give to a church where the SP does not WALK the TALK; he preaches "love your neighbour" but yet he "sacks his ex-deacon of 11 years from his church membership" all because the ex-deacon told the Truth.

STOP GIVING to Calvary Church.

TURN OFF THE TAP on Calvary Church.

If PG can practise his LOTT (Leg On The Table) treatment on those he didn't like then we can jolly well give PG our TOTT (Turn Off The Tap) treatment to wake him up from his slumber.

Yes, it's our TOTT vs his LOTT. Let's see which one will triumph, I know that God will be on the side of Truth. So Dr Lum, don't worry; God is on your side (Truth's side).

2) Real Estate Agent - "Don't Sell" becos properties prices will sure go up one day.

3) Husbands or Wives - You sell whole family will "Key Seow" (Become Gila)

so you decide carefully "sell or don't sell"

BEWARE : “FAITH PROMISE”

Let’s use our God given discernment on this whole business of $$$ in the various form of taking from its congregation under the CEO’s & BOD’s leadership:

1. Tithes
2. Offerings ( from Worhship Services )
3. Missions ( monthly)
4. Faith Promise
5. Designated Offerings
6. Church Building Fund ( aka CCC)
7. Special Offerrings : Year end love collection as ‘expression of love for their labour’

Here are some information:
1. Faith Promise is not Biblical.
In fact it was *INITIATED by PG himself in 1973
--almost immediately after he was appointed in 1972.
(speaking of ‘creative’ mind and ‘fast worker’)
* reference ‘30 Years of Faithful Service’ a self promotion publication.

2. Annual Report 2007, under Church Income
( fig. to the nearest thousand) :
Tithes RM7.481 M )
Offerings RM1.307 M )
Contributions to
Building Fund RM9.709 M ) RM18.947 MILLION
Interest on FD RM 448 K )

3. Missions Report 2007 :
Faith Promise RM 4.378 M )
Monthly Missions RM 514 K ) RM 5. 294 MILLION
Designated Offerings RM 380K )
Other Income RM 22 K )

TOTAL AMOUNT given by the Congregation RM24.241 MILLION

And this EXCLUDES other Extended Ministries Income.

Here are Some Facts:
1. In Churches the practice is, Tithes & Offerings is The Central Fund
for use to cover all expenditure and all other programmes carry out under its ANNUAL BUDGET PLAN.

NOTE 1: Church Total Expentiture (2007) was *RM 5.442M and
there was an EXCESS of RM13.505 MILLION
Surely this HUGE amount can do a lot-- Why Keep in FD for
Interest?

NOTE 2: Of the Total Church Expenditure, The STIPENDS & EPF
accounted for a whooping *52%. Or RM2.787 Million)This
salary percentage is way above even the most profitable
company in the of Private sector.
Imagine, more than half of our sacrificial offerings goes to
this expense.
( In 2005, when I raised this concern at the AGM, Philip Tan, not a Deacon then, stood up to rebut me and said, even if 90%, so be it as they are serving God.)

DISCERNMENT:
1. How has ‘Faith Promise’ been promoted over the Pulpit all these
years?
Underlying theme ‘Give in Faith and be blessed, or Else...’
(PG had declared it’s just a pledge between you & God, (the Fear
factor) getting you to fulfil it ( blessing factor) when you can’t
fulfil it (guilt factor)

We who know GOD, know He does not bless just because we give.
And God’s blessings go deeper and beyond financial providence.

2. Our faith in God is challenged and tested in many ways, “How much to pledge –challenge” is certainly not the yardstick!

REMINDER: we were told by PG-CEO at the EGM:
Once you give to Missions ( which is Faith Promise $) you have no right to ask how it is spent or use! Now, will we be wiser?

Anonymous said...

Dear all, as for me, I WILL NOT be taking the faith promise card from the usher. As it is, the usher does not even bother to pass me the offering bag as she noticed that I have TOTT.

Anonymous said...

Hi Sis. Liza,

Thanks for taking the trouble and time to analyze the numbers ($$$) for us to understand better. Like I've mentioned earlier, I've already TOTT for a few months now.

Yes, BE VERY CAREFUL & BEWARE of the tactics use when the preachers/pastors preach. READ BETWEEN THE LINES. Seek God's discernment and pray that He would remove any scales in our eyes and any "mental blocks" that some preachers would like us to have.

I believe in giving, no doubt about that, especially for the building of His Kingdom and to the needy. BUT... let us not be a "blind giver." If you know that this particular organization (CC) has a BIG ISSUE when it comes to the money received, then in my humble opinion, should you continue to give to this organization (CC), you may be actually "AN ACCOMPLICE" in all its alleged mismanagement and wrong doings. Think about it bros & sis.

The last round of Faith Promise I had this strong conviction of NOT GIVING, NOT because I have no faith in God. Bros & sis, in His word the Lord says that we must be a cheerful giver. Don't give just because someone brainwashes us and makes us feel guilty and fearful if we don't give. Stop living in fear and guilt. Our Lord Jesus Christ has nailed all that at the cross. Period!

Look at how the BOD handled Dr. Lum's termination as member of CC. My question is, was Dr. Lum given a show-cause letter before his membership was terminated? From what I understand, he's being terminated as a member and if he would like his membership to be reinstated, then the BOD is willing to meet up with him on the 9/1/09. Is this the correct way to handle this issue? Dr. Lum was terminated for the reason of causing confusion to the members. If that is the actual reason, then PG, PG2, the APs and members of the BOD should all be terminated!!!

I end with these words from the song by Bette Midler, "God is watching us, God is watching us, God is watching us from a distance."

Hi Liza,

Your closing remark stated : "REMINDER: we were told by PG-CEO at the EGM: Once you give to Missions (which is Faith Promise $) you have no right to ask how it is spent or use!"

I understand that at the Leaders Meeting, on Saturday 1st March 2008, PG was annoyed when some leaders were enquiring about the Extended Ministries & Calvaryland. As such, PG stood up & fired his now infamous statement which STUNNED all present - "What you give to Missions is NOT for you to question".

This statement smacks of LOW Transparency or, worse still, NO Transparency & it had led to the need to have the "Teh Tarik" meetings at YMCA on 9th March & at KBU on 15th March, preceding the AGM on 28th March; the rest is history.....

From this I conclude that the mess at CC wasn't started by the TTG crew BUT it was in fact started by PG himself as he had wanted to keep his misdeeds hidden from the sheep. Then PG divided CC by his infamous vote taken on the need for the Extended Ministries accounts to be tabled at AGMs despite the outgoing Church Auditor admitting at the AGM that he had been wrong all these years & he now stand corrected by his Technical Partner (of a BIG firm of accountants) who had told him that the Extended Ministries accounts MUST be presented to the church members.

Of course now we know why PG didn't want us to question (or give us the Extended Ministries accounts) for by now God has revealed to the TTG crew that PG has "moved" at least RM 1.9 millions to his personal ministry (CIM), PG has NOT sent funds collected for Indonesian Earthquake victims BUT kept them in his CIM fixed deposits to earn interests (building treasures on earth), used church funds to pay for his expenses at Jackie Chan gym & to fly his grandchild to US, the bookshop is registered in GFF's name, etc., etc., etc.

PG preaches so much about us needing to be good stewards BUT is he being one himself? What example is he setting to his APs & BOD? No wonder the APs are prepared to "take a bullet for him" as ONLY CC can afford to pay them such extravagant "gaji" e.g. RM 12,000 for TO who has NO tact when talking to the sheep (he shouts instead of talks).

I heard that when TO, when to mediate between a couple, instead of getting them together, TO has escalated them to the Divorce court. Didn't pastors charge us that "what God has put together, let no man put asunder"? Then why is TO's action escalating this couple to be "put asunder", TO surely has some answering to do for his action.

Btw, my primary school-going child's response was "STOP giving them the money" when told that CC is having problems because whilst the church has been very blessed by God & the sheep has been generous, the church leadership has been tempted to misuse & abuse the church funds. Now that's Godly wisdom, Jesus said we must be like little children ....

The fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom .....

Obviously, PG & BOD now has no fear of God & that's why their every action has been very foolish & not wise. Praise God for that.

Sometimes...WHEN ALL IS SAID & DONE
MORE is said than done

SO Let’s not lose FOCUS of the ONE of THREE THINGS
That will bring an effective change

1.A definitive ILLEGALITY on PG,
BOD.

2.Money squeeze which WILL strangle CC, CCC, WAGE

3.Constitutional removal of PG & BOD (requires 2/3 rd majority by TTG)

DO WE HAVE 2/3 MAJORITY ?????

Luk 14:31, 32 Or what king going to attack another
king in war does not first sit down and take counsel
whether he is able with ten thousand to meet those
coming upon him with twenty thousands? But if not,
he being still far off, sending a delegation, he asks
the things for peace.

Dear Read Between The Lines,

You see how smart he is in writing the letter to Dr Lum. The gist will be if Dr Lum does not meet with them, which I think he should not, then IT WAS DR LUM HIMSELF WHO DOES NOT WANT THE MEMBERSHIP! You get it?

He throw the responsibility to Dr Lum himself. He will say, you see I did terminate him, he terminated himself. Really smart indeed. Dont you think so?

Dear PSHN,
Using the church constitution requirs 2/3 of the church membership.

Reporting to the authorities requires only ONE person.

Thank you liza for your kind comment on my sharing. I give the administrator my consent for POSTING in CT. As for the title I would choose “TITHING vs FREE WILL GIVING”

pshn said...

To What do you think

I think better have 3 prong approach, in case one fails.

Not easy to have a fullproof illegality where u are sure to win.

Anonymous said...

Dear PSHN

PG & BOD will throw your resolution away just like they did to the 7 resolutions that was submitted to them before EGM.

They did not even consider one.

But to go to authorities you need only ONE

But I heard PG gets 2 lawyers to sit with him if you want to see him and discuss on church matters.

All because KK Wong manage to get him 'out' of CBT.
But as far as I know, the true picture not fully painted for KK Wong to see.

So not full picture.

Sometimes...WHEN ALL IS SAID & DONE.

Let the authorities handle the job.
If PG got nothing to hide,
let the authorities prove it.

PSHN,

You are right. Better attack from more angles.

ok, agreed.

Anonymous said...

What I just dont understand is why cant a church shows all the accounts to the members when requested?

Dont all the churches do that?

What does our church constituition says about that?

Anonymous said...

PG, APs and BOD are forever twisting their words, we already know. They are smart in twisting and going round and round. Where is the fear of God and respect for truth?

BUT God will bring about Justice, Truth & Righteousness. God is definitely on the side of Truth. No matter how smart PG, APs and BOD are they CANNOT OUTSMART GOD! That is for sure!

Besides when sin is in full bloom it brings forth corruption. The Word of God is sure and certain.

We will hold fast to God's Promises to bring back Justice, Truth and Righteousness to CC again!

All the human efforts and no amount of twisting, manipulation, ratification, justification, whitewashing and turning around can change the consequences of sin.

In the end sin yields death and corruption.

It is only by God's mercy and through humble repentance that sins are forgiven.

Anonymous said...

Dear Church Account,
The Constitution said that any member can make an appointment to see the church accounts and somebody from the BOD will accompany the person (which is fair enough).

What do the rest think? All of us make appointments?

Anonymous said...

Dear KKB,

Do you think they will entertain you? I thought TTG has been asking to see the accounts but they did not entertain?

So why should they entertain any simple housewife or unemployed Calvarite man to see the accounts?

No money no talk.

pshn said...

Dear Late Cub said...

I’ll try to make some clarifications about some points you made.

1. PG & BOD will throw your resolution away just like they did to the 7 resolutions that was submitted to them before EGM.

What was done was totally unfair. The intent was to suppress and delay and they abused their powers and ignored the sincere concerns to the congregation. Whenever something wrong is done at a lower level of authority it should have been referred to a higher authority for redress. I think this has already been done. So the issue is not dead.

I have been personally been told by a higher authority that AOG churches are at the core very congregational i.e the power actually lie with the congregation through the constitution. The power will always lie with the 2/3rd majority...ALWAYS. TTG should start counting.

2. But to go to authorities you need only ONE

On the surface it is very simple and I agree with you. But the burden of proof lies with the accuser. The bottom line would be can you get the all evidences that are needed to win when the documents are not easily available and could have been tampered with? And can you prove beyond a shadow of doubt that the other party is wrong?

As far as I can see all of SP’s moves were covered by either the BOD or the Missions Committee so it is difficult to touch SP directly and fatally. And I cannot see that they have worked outside the borders of the constitution which the church endorsed some years before. The best you can do is to prove that they are a little incompetent but is this a illegality? So for incompetence if they say an emotional sorry won’t the Christians be obligated biblically to forgive them?

The problem is right and wrong are not separated by a thin line. They are separated by a huge stretch of GRAY !!

So, sure you need only ONE person to go to the authorities, but do we have ONE foolproof case through which we can stage a win?

BUT ALL THAT ARE THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS !!

WE HAVE ONE GOD & ONE IS ALL WE NEED !!

Anonymous said...

AMEN...pshn

He is all we need
Jesus is all we need
All that I need.

Is it not the authorities job to investigate ??????

Actually we got nothing to lose if we let the authorities handles it.

They cannot put us in Sungei Buloh.
We suspects some hanky panky in CC and the authorities can investigate.

My questions?
Can God use the authorities to handle this issue ????

What makes us think that Sungei Buloh is not part of God's plan for PG ??

Can Sungei Buloh humble this man ???

The Sheeps must teach the Shepherd a good lesson. What kind of Shepherd does CC have?

I left CC after the shit were uncovered and has not regretted one bit!

Now I am happily worshipping and getting spiritual food or should I say spiritual buffet with SIBKL.

Senior pastor Dr. Chew Weng Chee is such a humble and god fearing person. His teachings are first class! I heard he got a Master degree in Theology from a University in Canada.

The wife who is also a Medical doctor is full time... not fool time OK!

Small size... I think must be XXS but packs a punch when she talks about God. She really is all fired and fervent for God. Never talk Cock and Bull onelah.

No joke! Don't continue to worship in CC and get TOXIC food. Eventually Die onelah.

Please... there are many other good senior pastors and churches around.

Another good church which I visited some time back is DUMC. The senior pastor takes time to talk around before and after church services to get to know the sheeps.

Not bad onelah.

Still I recommend SIBKL. It is going to be a world class CHURCH.

AMEN! PASTOR CHEW .... CHIA YEW... ADD OIL.

A true story....

Once there was a very proud, corrupted and conniving man. All the people around him are being misused and abuse by him.

Many stayed back to serve him due to salary, and some are too old to move on.

This proud man grows old and one day while going out from his house fell into a longkang. His employee pass by and saw it but did not do anything....

Soon it became dark and began to rain. The longkang overflowed and shits from the neighbourhood sewerage system overflowed and starts to flow into the longkang.

This old man was covered with shit and began to shiver.

Dogs came over and starts pissing on his already balding head but he kept a few strands of hair to look good.

Soon his energy level got low and he became unconsious. Garbage cover his body and the longkang was stuck.

The very next morning a VIP who was a MP for the area came for cleaning and took with him excavators, backhoe etc. I think the MP's name was something like Lee Hwak Bing....

Anyway without seeing the old man, the backhoe digged up the longkang and put him together with the garbage into a waiting lorry.

Very much later.... at the rubbish dump site, his body was found.

A very sad story indeed.....

It is fair to have another version of the The Rich Man Matthew19: 16-22
A. The Rich Young Man's Questions
One day an earnest, impulsive young man ran to Jesus and knelt in the road to worship Him(Mark10:17). The young man was an important person, a ruler of the synagogue. He put a question to Jesus, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?" The young man was obviously a Pharisee (like Paul) and perhaps had heard of Jesus' teachings concerning eternal life. Since then his conscience had bothered him. His desire for assurance would not let him rest. In spite of this, he could not imagine any deficiency becasue he had lived a clean life. However, his soul was profoundly unsatisfied. He seemed to have done everything he could: yet, still he lacked something.

B. Jesus' Answer - Matthew 19:17-21
1. Jesus' call to recognise Him as equal with God

Jesus' call to the young man is in the words, "Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only One who is good"(Matthew 19:17). At first glance it seems that Jesus answered this young man's earnest with a petty objection to the adjective "good" which the young man used in all sincerity and reverence. Why did Jesus quibble over words in this manner? Certainly not because He wished to disclaim this attribute, for He was without sin and therefore truly "good." Jesus had read the young man's heart and wished to lead him to a fuller recognition of His true nature. It is as though Jesus said,"Consider what your 'good' word means. You have given me an attribute that in its full meaning belongs only to God Himself.Do you mean this?" Having challenged the young man to recognise His divine authority, Jesus next quoted the Old Testament.

2. Jesus' charge of his failure to keep God's commandments
Jesus' charge to convict the young man of his failure to keep God's commandments-"If you want to enter life, obey the commandments"-is based on Leviticus 18:5 and many other Old Testament statements. To keep perfectly all the commandments inwardly as as outwardly-which involves a perfect, continuous love of God with all the heart, soul, mind, will and strength, and a perfect continuous love of one's neighbour as oneself-is to obtain life (Deuteronomy 30:10-20; Matthew 22:37-40). No human being except the Lord Jesus Christ has ever done this.
Therefore, Jesus intended that the rich young ruler first realised his own shortcoming. Of this he was still unaware, for with utmost sincerity he said, in regards, to the law concerning murder, adultery, stealing, false witness, dishonesty, and honour given to parents,"All these I have kept since I was a boy" (Mark10:20). "What do I still lack?" (Matthew 19:20)

At this point in the converation, Mark adds that "Jesus looked at him and loved him." The Greek word used here for "look" (used also in Luke 22:61) means that Jesus fixed a searching gaze upon him. At the same time, Jesus was moved with a great love for this rich young ruler who had lived a good life and yet realised his lack. Therefore, He must tell him that he had not kept perfectly the commandments wither to love God or to love his neighbour as himself. To convict the rich young ruler of his own basic lack of love for God and others, Jesus put His finger upon the young man's idol-namely his riches, his position in society, and all that went with it. Jesus wanted this young man to open his eyes to the glaring reality of how his love of God, loyalty to Jesus, and love for his neighbour were in fact all secondary to his love for self, which in truth ruled his life. Therefore, he had not kept the commandments. Therefore, he could not enter into eternal life by his own merit. This meant that he needed Jesus and the remission for these sins of omission, which only Christ's death upon the Cross could obtain for him (Matthew 26:28; Hebrews 9:22).

3. Jesus' challenge to follow Him at any cost
"Go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me" (Matthew 19:21). By this command Jesus showed the young man that he neither loved the Lord his God with all his heart (since he was unwilling to follow Jesus at cost to himself), nor did he love his neighbour as himself (seeing that he was not willing at God's express command to give his riches to the poor). However, "All the law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments" (Matthew 22:40). Matthew 19:21 prefaces this call of Jesus with the words "If you want to be perfect," Mark and Luke write, "One thing you lack." In either case, Jesus pointed out that the rich young ruler "sinned and came short of the glory of God." Only a relationship with Jesus Christ-crucified, resurrected, giver of the Holy Spirit-could provide what all of his respectable life and good deeds still left lacking (Romans 3: 23-25).

We should not take this command of Jesus to mean that everyone who would belong to Christ must first give up present position, sell all possessions, and give to the poor, unless (as may be the case where the richness have been dishonestly obtained) one cannot follow Jesus any other way. It does mean that to follow Christ you must give up your "idol". Obviously the rich young rich ruler loved his riches and position more than eternal life, more than God, more than Jesus Christ, more than his neighbour.

C. The Young Man's Rejection of Christ's Call- Matthew 19:22

The rich young ruler must have turned his gaze from the love in Jesus' eyes or he could not have made so disastrous a decision. To be especially loved by Jesus and then to choose to live away from Him forever, how otherwise could he do this?
Did he look at Peter, John and the former tax gatherer Matthew, standing around and think, "How could I live with these unlearned men and associate with such a crowd?" Did he fear rejection by his friends, the other rulers, or did the creature comforts of his great possessions hold him back?

Scripture states two facts: "He went away sad," and "because he had great wealth." This young man was very rich, and he valued his possessions more than eternal life and the treasure of a life lived with Jesus. Let us think of all the possessions he chose to turn down. He forfeited eternal life since he rejected following Jesus. For all eternality he will regret his decision. He lost a good reputation, for his frame goes down in history as a man who chose tinsel instead of gold. He lost security for the future. Trouble, sickness, death would have to met without God. He lost forever the sweet companionship of Jesus. He lost the exhilaration of possessing the power of the Holy Spirit. He lost forever the meaning to life and the fulfillment of his personality. He even lost happiness. He refused Jesus because he thought he could not be happy without his possessions and his position.By doing so he lost happiness even in this world, for he walked out of the Gospel pages "sad." Probably within forty years his riches together with his positionof leadership were taken away at the time of the A.D. 70 Jewish disaster.

Are you like the rich young ruler in that you have lived a "good" life before others? You have not committed murder or adultery. You do not steal, lie or defraud, and you honor your parents and care for your children. In spite of all this, do you realise you do realise you do not have the assurance of eternal life?

Do you realise that somewhere you, too, lack true heart satisfaction? Are you like the rich ruler, having possessions that consciously or unconsciously you love more than God Himself? Such possessions need not be money. One can love one's reputation, intelligence, talents, fame, friends, social position, home, spouse, career, or family more than Jesus Christ. If so, you are reacting to Christ as this young man did. Walking away proves a person loves these things above eternal life and does not, therefore, sincerely love God or Jesus Christ or one's neighbour as oneself.

Whenever you truly contact the person of Jesus Christ, He will reveal to you the unknown but basic sin of love of self, around which your entire life revolves; this can only be cleansed by the death of Christ and overcome by the indwelling Christ through receiving the Holy Spirit. God may allow you to keep your "possessions" for yourself (at least temporarily), if you prefer them to the joys of eternal life, forgiveness of sin, companionship of Jesus, fruitfulness and a life of eternal spiritual blessing. However, there is a cost to refusing Jesus. If you have ever heard Jesus' call to love Him more than all earthly possessions and have refused Him, you, too, will go away "sad" to eternal separation from God and eternal suffering in hell.

The latest Missions Report has confirmed that TOTT is indeed working in CC.

For the last 6 months, Faith Promise collected amounted to RM1.5 million (against pledge of about RM3.5 million), with RM1.3 million disbursed to missions, and balance of RM200k transferred to CCC.

The FP collection is 32% drop from the average of RM2.2 million for both 6-monthly collections for 2007.

I will continue to TOTT for upcoming CC Faith Promise but have pledged my financial gift to a Klang-based ministry reaching out to migrant workers in the Klang Valley.

We look up to our leaders and rightly so. But when our leaders disappoint us we have to ask ourselves what has gone wrong and what are the underlying causes for our leaders' failures.

Here is a little insight what happens when leaders misuse their powers.

Extract from The Maxwell Leadership Bible page 912

Quote:

THE MEASURE OF A MAN IS WHAT HE DOES WITH POWER.
(Jeremiah 22:6-30)

Leaders who use their power or influence for personal gain offend God.

Jeremiah cautions leaders who build their own "kingdoms" but fail to exhibit wisdom. He warns them against preoccupation with their own welfare rather than the people God has given them.

God considers such misuse of power grounds for removal."
Unquote-

Jeremiah 22: 13- 17

v 13 "Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness

And his chambers by injustice,
Who uses his neighbor's services
without wages
And gives him nothing for his work,

v14 Who says, 'I will build myself a wide house with spacious chambers,
And cut out windows for it,
Paneling it with cedar
And painting it with vermilion.'

v15 "Shall you reign because you enclose yourself in cedar?

Did not your father eat and drink,
And do justice and righteousness?
Then it was well with him.

V16 he judged the cause of the poor and needy;

Then it was well.
Was not this knowing Me?" says the Lord.

v17 "Yet your eyes and your heart are for nothing but your covetousness,

For shedding innocent blood,
And practising oppression and violence."

Surely God hears the cries of the hurting sheep when the shepherds are only taking care of their own welfare and not concerned at all for the sheep.

The Chief Shepherd of all the hurting sheep will surely act and remove all the negligent shepherds.

Hi all

This is a personal testimony.....as a teenager when I got my first pay, I learnt to give 1/10 to the Lord.

Eventually from tithes, I gave faith promise (only when the Lord blesses), then CLM (thought PG would resign from CC to go into full time evangelism); Calvary Land etc. The last straw was CCC when it is 'unrealistically fantastic' for a church which should be simple for God is not impressed with outward appearance and does not live in buildings. My contention is why build to impress when the cost is so high and we have to go into huge borrowings? Worse when we have to sell bricks to 'non-members' who may not be even Christians.

With the exposure of TTG, I begin to cut off giving of tithes etc to CC. BUT DID THE LORD PUNISH ME as implied by most messages from PG?

No, my Lord knows I work very hard to earn the money and He has opened my eyes and ears to the needs of the other Christians who really need funds. He has blessed me with much more income than I usually have in 2008.

May I suggest that you who read this blog give the equivalent of your tithes, faith promise, ccc and whatever have you to other Christian organisations or individuals to help them to expand the kingdom of God.

Why don't you become your own missions director in 2009? At least you know for sure it is going to the right people who need our funds.

For 2009, let us all learn to be good stewards if our church leadership can't or rather won't.

Cannot not sleep, lah, thinking of the awesome cost of CCC.

Extract from 2007 Annual Report:

Overall cost: 180M
Since 2003, Building Fund: 35.45M
General Fund's F.D.: 16M
F.D.(from Balance sheet): 24.28M
Total funds available: 75.7M
Deficit: 104.27M

Will CCC open for the first service for Easter in 2010? That means almost 100.5M must be raised in 16 months.

I am no accountant. I can do simple arithmetic only. Maybe I have missed something. Can some kind souls out there enlighten me so that I need not go to 7-eleven for panadol. Cos until today, we only hear of figures in the millions and there is no detailed progressive financial report on income and expenditure.

Whatever it is, given the controversy related to CCC, even though I had given before, I will TOTT now.

For the longest time I was looking for this blog and in my heart I knew for a big church like ours, we will eventually have people crying foul. This happens everywhere, not everyone is happy about a certain issues, no one can please every1. But you guys before you speak against the church and it's leaders, beware, the Lord is watching and listening and every word of your will be frozen and kept in God's database.

Personally, as for TOTT, I do not give to the church or to any specific pastors... I give my tithes + offering + FP (when God blesses) to God and to His Great commission.

TTG/ Dr. Lum you are a real stumbling block to many new believers, as they are easily swayed by your wolfs in sheep clothing tactics and actions.

If anyone has done anything wrong, God is there to judge, by taking judgement into our owns hand we bring judgement and curses to ourselves and worst still to our family (i.e. kids).

Please don't use man's wisdom to run God's business, look at the world and the mess we are in (world politics, economy, wars, and terrorism), the world is suffering so much because man thinks his wisdowm is the best and God's wisdom is ignored, we can do audit after audits and create governing council (which is unbiblical) over our church, but isn't all this man's wisdom, where is God in all your actions, dear TTG.

TTG please repent before God's judgement comes knocking on your doors.

Don't remove God from the picture, God is very real and very active in every church so is the devil. The best way the devil disables a church from doing the God given role is through in-figthing. As long as the church is inward looking, the devil is happy. TTG has been infiltrated by satanism, dear calvarite, please don't fall in this trap.

Please pray for our Pastors and leaders and BOD.

Why believe a handful of ppl and 1 deacon, when the rest of pastors and deacon are fully backing SP. Hiyoh, pure nonsense la you TTG. Also Dr. Lum you need to rededicate your life to Jesus, you have back slidden.

Dear TTG, Dr. Lum, HM please return to Jesus before it's too late. Also STOP influencing the young ones into believing your ugly tactics and your hidden agenda.

Btw. about Adeline Koh, recently 1 of my office mate was looking for a small church in ampang, so I recommended Pastor Adeline Koh's outreach in ampang, the feedback I receive from him was shocking. Someone said, that Pas. AK should be given >rm1800 for salary, hello are you sane, anyone can say anything, but in 3-5 years time the church should must stand and support itself (even though the mission dept. will usually give more time for outreach to stand on itself, depending on the current finance and commitment of the outreach church), do you think then the church could pay the pastor that amount of $$$$ ofr salary? If the missions dept. would give starting salary of RM1800, alot of people (immature faith) will respond because the money is not bad, they should respond to God's call only by faith, believe that God will supply all their needs, not believe in the missions dept., and the mission pastor to supply all their need.

This is why I say the TTG has lost the perspective of God, God is not in the picture of all your actions. Where is faith and the power of prayer? Why so much hate here, whereas Jesus says Loves is the greatest.

So many outreach pastors are a complaining bunch, this not enough and that not enough, they want everything easy and smooth for them, just because our missions giving is alot they always want more. But they fail to realise that they are suppose to mentor and disciple and work hard, so that their church could 1 day become sovereign and in turn plant more outreaches on their own, look at the Gemas church and the church in Bintulu, they are wonderful example, through the leadership of SP + PO, they are what they are.

Praise God for SP + his family and the AP, BOD.

Love is the greastest, Jesus showed is it, that love can bridge anything, not hatred and bad mouthing (or even protest) or even TOTT.

You TTG are full of hatred, Jesus said love but you want to hate. So all those reading this blog + comments, please don't get swayed by this satanic scheme of the evil 1.

Have dicerning heart, look through the real author of confusion and hatred and lies.... the devil is working hard to sway God's people.

The best thing we could do for our leaders and even ourselves is to pray and leave it to God.

How much is PG paying you to say all these things? You sound like him!

You are against paying a starting pastor who has graduated from BCM RM1,800 a month.

What do you think of PG paying himself RM25,000 a month and his wife RM15,000 a month? Don't tell me, let me guess your answers; and no prize for guessing right.

Come on TTG, use your own names, why all the hidings? Why so scared? Only the devil hides, Jesus made a bold proclaimation by dying on the cross in full view of the world, why you guys are hiding? scared of what??

I will answer to your questions... but I will wait until I receive many more feedback... I will answer in 1 go.....

I'm not very free, working mah, unlike some of you with huge bank account can afford to spend all the the time in world bad mouthing other people.

SP said himself he is going to preach the 2nd part to his new year sermon - The dangers of God's blessings. God has certainly and evidently blessed our dear SP all these years. He and his family has been flaunting quite openly to the whole world the blessing of God on him. He has alot to account to God for what he has used God's blessing for all the years of his pastor ministry. How SP and his family use God's blessing is seen by the whole church, the whole Christian community, his whole Bangsar neighbours, the whole world that he claims to minister to all these years. My brother Charles, I am very disgusted and am about to leave the church because of what I see in SP & family's life. You go tell SP that there is ONE, USED AND DISCARDED FAITHFUL CC CHURCH MEMBER/CHRISTIAN now going to leave the church because of him, his wife and children. He is responsible for my spiritual life.

Now the TTG ppl, are of no concern to me because they have never preached to me before. They are on the same boat as me - ordinary christians following the pastors who are leading us and teaching us about God. We are all supposed to be learning from the pastors - not the TTG ppl. I have not heard one hateful word from them to me. So why should what the TTG ppl do have an effect on my spiritual life. What others say about SP supporters are true, they are the ones confused and causing confusion to members.

When there is an economic crisis in the country, the leaders are questioned not us ordinary citizens.

When a company make losses, the CEO and bosses of that company are blamed for not making the right business decisions, not the customers be blamed for not buying from them.

When the school children misbehave in school, the head master/mistress and discipline teachers are questioned why no strict discipline is carried out to allow children to be naughty in the school.

When the church got problem like now in CC, you don't question the SP who earns RM25,000-00 and his wife the SAP who earns RM15,000-00 and his son and daughter who earns at least RM_ _,000-00 each and son-in-law another RM_ _,000-00, why the church members are questioning their actions. Instead, you, Charles, go blame the church members, who earn nothing but gave, gave and gave their money all these years, so that SP and his family can have their monthly salaries paid to them on time.

I speak for myself. What TTG ppl do in the church cannot cause my faith in God to stumble.

But what our SP and other pastors in CC do or don't do, will cause my faith in God to stumble. Charles, you better get the order of things right here. Tell SP, be careful of the dangers of God's blessing because we members are looking and listening to every word he says and everthing he is doing and how he is using God's blessings.

The TTG ppl's life is of no concern for me because they never preach to me every sunday and they never spend my offering money to God. (I mean their salary is not contributed by me every month)

Hello Charles

no one here in CT or those TTG is speaking against the church, if you ever claimed so, so are the culprit and you are for one the one who spoke against the church.

TTG merely speak and ask the church leadership to exercise truth, transparency, and good governance. Lets not blamed the TTG as many had spoken up and knew that many things in CC is not right. No one in TTG said that they are "against" the church, again i must remind you, you are the one; Charles.

our members are crying for our sp and leadership because of their 'conduct'. They take have no respect, no love for the issues that were brought up to them( as you are aware by now, how much effort the TTG had tried to bring it forward)

Charles, be careful of your tongue and your attitude, God is watching You as you claimed.

I am disgusted at this Charles fella for condemning outreach pastors for wanting to get more than RM400 salary/allowance but not condemning PG and his family's high salary of 5 figures per person. Charles and PG and his family are simply disgusting and an abomination to the Holy Spirit.

"If the missions dept. would give starting salary of RM1800, alot of people (immature faith) will respond because the money is not bad, they should respond to God's call only by faith, believe that God will supply all their needs, not believe in the missions dept., and the mission pastor to supply all their need."

You nailed it on bulls eye. Many (immature faith) people are in full time church salary now because of the money that missions dept can pay them.

Example 1 - SP's daughter, Director of CLM, no bible school training but working as a ministry staff in CC.

Example 2 - SP's son, Director of communication cum Executive adminstrator, no bible school training but working as a ministry staff in CC.

Example 3 - SP's son-in-law, Associate pastor, no bible school training but working as a big time associate pastor in CC.

Example 4 - A sr deacon's wife, Assistant pastor, no bible school training but working as a pastor in CC.

And why they choose to work in CC and not in the secular world? Because like you say, "people (immature faith) will respond because the money is not bad,".

Before I get too many feedback, let me respond:-

Puzzled - you are really puzzled - you need clarity.

As don't need to clarify anything with the Pastor or SP, I believe he, SAP, AP, BOD have done enough clariying your questions. As I have prayed and submitted everything to God to deal. I don't want man (TTG, Dr. Lum, HM) to deal with God's business. God is the best Judge.

As for the salaries of the outreach pastor, how can you compare the salary of our SP with AK, come on la, use some sense, this pastor is just starting here ministry where as our SP has been in ministry for more then 30 years. As I said before this outreach pastor needs to build her ministry, when she is faithful to God surely God will bless her. Stop the comparing, our SP has given the best of his life for the church and his calling and hence the salary.

About his childrens and their ministry, they have sacrificed alot for the couse of the church, Calvary would not be what it is now, if it was not for the sacrifices of SP, SAP, JG, PL, so many times they would have to miss their parent, who will be away for ministry and that is sacrifice. Also imagine the heavy burden of always showing good testimony that was on their shoulder all their lives. You people here seriously don't understand.

To Andy L - you say you don't listen the preaching of TTG... well ..when you read and digest and believe all the lies said here.... then you are listening to their preaching. No one is responsible for your soul, you are accountable to God for your own soul and your spirituality. Try going to another church, a couple of years down the road, you will "see" some weakness in that church and it's leader and you will get confused again... this is they trick of the evil 1. Be faithful to the church and to the leader God's has given you.

Btw.. the church leaders are accountable to God for their actions and words, we can forever keep on criticizing, but where will that take us? Most probably to Hell, but when we believe in God that everything works out for good for those who trust in the Lord, we will be fovored by God.

God is watching you, what profit a man when he gains the whole world but losses his soul????

Anonymous said...

Dear Andy L,

Your comments and here's my answer:-

Example 1 - SP's daughter, Director of CLM, no bible school training but working as a ministry staff in CC.
She has all the qualificion for the ministry she is doing, if she go out to the world to work, she would have earned much more. I have been personally blessed by her ministry.

Example 2 - SP's son, Director of communication cum Executive adminstrator, no bible school training but working as a ministry staff in CC.
For your info he was offered a good paying job, but he decline and started doing ministry, I personally worked for him, he is wonderful person to work with, he takes his job seriously and is fully committed by the way he is fully qualified for his job.

Example 3 - SP's son-in-law, Associate pastor, no bible school training but working as a big time associate pastor in CC.
He is done a great job bringing the church music ministry to higher level then it was before, just listen to the quality of our presentations? there is no questions to it.

Example 4 - A sr deacon's wife, Assistant pastor, no bible school training but working as a pastor in CC.
no comment here, as I don't know this pastor personally, never worked with her

By the way any church can take in a person to serve as a pastor in it's church, that pastor even though not recognize by AG, will be recognize as pastor only within the church until proper and full credential are given by AG or any other relevant bodies.

Dear Charles,

I read all the comments that you have written in this blog.

Take the case of Adeline Koh, she was given RM250 as monthly allowance. Do you think it is fair? She is getting an allowance below the poverty line in Malaysia. How would you like to be given an allowance of RM250.00 per month? You also would have to pay rental, take the bus to BCM, pay for books, etc etc. Maybe you should quit your job and then work for church and let the church pay you RM250.00

Secondly, would you like or allow PG to spend the money that you give to church, your hard earned money, the way PG chooses to? PG can spend it without any accountability to anybody on how he spends to. You should in this case sell all that you own and give it to PG and then go work for church and let PG pay you RM250 per month.

As a church member, I would like to know how the church spend the money that I give. Other wise I will not give it to the church.

Anonymous said...

Charles, try asking them to go work outside of CC. I do not believe that God calls others who are more highly trained than his children to work in our outreaches but Sp's children all work in the comfort of being under their doting parent's eyes. Common lah use some common sence like you say.

His children sacrifice what for CC. Don't make my toes laugh. His grandson sacrificed a packet of junk food one mother's day celebration which caused our dear Pastor Susan to leave CC, that's what they "sacrificed".

If not for CC and SP who took without permission, his children will be no where today. All their qualifications from places SP use our missions money to pay to get. Like now his grand-daughter on scolarship. How come got scolarship? because Sp use our missions fund as church support for that institution. he is on the Board of Directors there too - go check their web-site. She is going to graduate and then SP & SAP will proudly announce to the whole church, "God is so faithful to call my grand-daughter to work full time in CC (with big fat starting salary - no need like other nobody outreach pastors - quote from you, "this outreach pastor needs to build her ministry, when she is faithful to God surely God will bless her."

How come the Gs no need to "build their ministry"?????

I have now decided to stay put to see what will his children do when SP gets kicked out of CC. Since so many others have offered them higher salaries, I want to stay around to see how they fair working for other bosses who is not their father.

Dear Charles

If you do not like what this blog is writing or if you do not like what you read in this blog, plse do not blog in. You are wasting your time. Go and earn your money and then give it all to church.
PG will be very pleased with you.
You have a choice. Nobody can force you to read or not read this blog.

Dear Sell & Give,

If that outreach pastor does not agree with the allowance given then she should raise to the Missions pastor or come in full view of every1 and say she has tried all avenues and failed to raised her allowance. Does anyone know the real background to her allowance? Stop the speculation.

Dear Andy L, why the flip flop, just a couple of hours back you said you wanna leave the church and now you don't... hello, a double minded person is unstable in all his ways..... please pray and let God show yu the truth.... not this nonsense TTG, HM, Dr. Lum or the commentators here.....

By the way Dr. Lum having Doctor of divinity does not qualify him for anything, any tom dick and harry can study theology, as long as he has the cash to do it.

Yes, the point is = $$$$$.... remember the love of money is the root of all evil.

My principle = when I drop my money into the offering bag, it become God's property... God owns it now but the responsibilty has been delegated to our Pastor... hence they are accountable to God on how wisely they use whatever that belongs to GOd. As I said before God judges best. Judge not otherwise you will be judges.....

Anonymous said...

Dear Charles,

You should seriously consider selling all you have and give it to church.
You should you know......

Anonymous said...

Aiya one more thing forgot, you say, SP's daughter, "She has all the qualificion," and the son, "he is fully qualified for his job."

Hello friend, as far as I know, in church ministry one must be called by God to do His work. Otherwise, it would be just a JOB and not a MINISTRY.

His children are qualified for the JOB does not mean they are called into the ministry by God. Like I said, he send his grand-gaughter to USA to study business administration, WHY? to come back and take care of his CCC "family business" Get it? So you are right, they are all qualified for the Job!

But in church, we need people who are called by God to serve with love and compassion for people and His sheep - not run a family business with qualified children in the church ministry. Mark my words, if SP still stays, all his other grand-children will also have a "special calling" to work in CC only.

I'm now more convinced to stay and watch.

Anonymous said...

Dear Andy L, thank you for all your flip flop.. you might even be better then the greatest flip flop.

In your comments you said do they have Bible school qualification and now you are saying if they have calling. Hello, can you see how confused you are.... because of all the TTG, Dr, HM and others..... like I said before a double minded person is unstable in all his ways. Please pray and ask God to speak to your heart. Let the light of Jesus shine on you to remove all the confusion and lies the evil 1... have planted in your heart.

Anonymous said...

I double minded and unstable is because I learn my my pastors...one day get big time lawyer come and say CIM is his personal ministry and the church cannot sue him and all the money is his and cannot ask back.

Then suddenly, all money, every sen, give back to missions dept. Why the flip flop - double minded and unstable pastors - you tell me. I ordinary man, no big time overseas qualification and no money to study theology, now so free because economy no good no business, I only learn and do what my pastors do. Yu go ask him why he double minded.

I changed my mind because of you Bro. Charles, so I must say thanks to you for helping me make the right decision. I will stay put in CC.

Anonymous said...

Dear Charles

Who is confused? Who is the double minded person?

Who has to pray?

Remember if you point to person, there are four fingers pointing back to you.

Who is the person committing the crime? PG or TTG? The Shepherd or the Sheep?

Anonymous said...

Dear Andy L,

Thanks for your faithfulness... I hope it is pure faithfulness not wait and see attitude.

God will surely open your eyes and heart and show you the real things.

May God bless you, my brother, and trust in God, don't get easily swayed by man's words.. whoever they are, let you eyes fixed on Jesus and your feet grounded on the word of God. Then surely you will not be swayed. God bless

Anonymous said...

Dear Not confused,

Everyone needs to pray.. regardless.

You finger pointing theology.... sorry it's unbiblical.

This is what happen when you try to decipher God's business using man's wisdom, you get confused, lose focus and finally you will not remember where you went wrong.... come back to the truth of God's word before it's too late. Jesus knock at the door of your heart.

Charles, u are really talking nonsense. Don't make me laugh by saying that CC has prospered under the leadership of PG and his god forsaken children.

PamG - New age believer who can't even share a decent devotion at work. Because of her ministry, one man committed suicide and killed his children along with him. Holier than thou art attitude and she has forgotten her humble beginnings when she and her husband cried and asked for forgiveness many years back.

JimG - Pls, he can't even teach God's word decently. Always yawning at services. Doubt he is paying attention even to his own father's preaching as he is too busy oogling at pretty women.

ChrisL - can't even make an announcement in church without stuttering, shares lousy devotions with no substance and does not deserve to be addressed as pastor as he has no shepherd's heart.

Don't make me laugh, Charlie. hahaha

When I logged-in at about 9:00am this morning, the last post was dated Jan.6 at 11:41pm and there 151 comments. Oh wow! At about 5:15pm, there were 200 comments. In this short span of time, in came 49 comments!

Out of the blue, emerged Charles, taking centre stage. During this time, Charles had 15 comments while 32 were by others addressing Charles' comments.

Bearing in mind the significance of CC's services this coming Sunday i.e. Jan 11, 09, this may be a premeditated action by a person or persons with vested interest to cause confusion, distraction and also to cause readers to lose focus on the issues at hand. The timing of the emergence of Charles leaves one pondering.

I remember some time ago, an occurrence of an identical nature also took placed to confuse and distract.

So, let us remain focused and turn this distraction into a greater determination to pursue truth, transparency and good governance.

I would place on record that I will not address nor discuss any rebuttal from other party/parties on my opinion cos I stand firm on my conviction in this instance.

Anonymous said...

All these started around March during our general election.

Now will the thing in CC be resolved by March this year when Najib will take over as the new PM?

Anonymous said...

Dear truth is out there

Do not worry about us being distracted. As far as I am concerned, I will not give a single cent to CC. Not anymore. By the way, I have stopped giving about 3 years already. I personally have encountered some ugly encounters with PG himself. That is why I have stopped giving. PG does not have a shepherd's heart anymore. He has lost it many years ago.

As for the guy Charles, I think he is probably new in church. When you are new, you don't see a lot of things. Can not blame him. But who knows? Charles could be somebody in disguise???????

Let us TOTT for CC and see God at work in CC and the other ministries where we have invested the money that God has blessed us with.

Anonymous said...

Let's not all get distracted by Charles. He mentioned he worked for Jim G (his comments at 1.24pm) so he or she must be a church staff trying to please his/her boss. Increment time, you know.

Let's all focus on this Faith promise Sunday. Remember FP is not pledging what you have or can afford to give, it is pledging what God tells you to. If God does not specifically put it in your heart to make a pledge, DON'T PLEDGE.

Give your money to the poor and needy, the homeless and the hungry, as Jesus taught. There are also many Christian missions work you can give to.

All you Calvarites who desire to be good stewards, remember do not put in the faith pledge cards coz CC has not been good stewards with our $$$.

People there abhor arrogance and autocratic leaders
He would have been stabbed in the back innumerable times
So that people will think he was Julius Caesar
His career life would not have cross 40 years
People out there are not so condoning
He would have failed in the corporate world
He would have failed in politics.

So why is he being paid like a CEO?
I am completely flabbergasted

Yes we shall exercise discernment and wisdom.

We refuse to be fooled by all the persuasions or subtle suggestions that we won't be blessed by God if we don't give to Faith Promise.

But actually faith promise is not mentioned in the Bible. It is a very AG thing.

Let all eyes be opened! Since pastors and BOD of CC have not been accountable and responsible to members and worshippers; we shall exercise our rights to give to more worthy causes as the Lord leads. We do not have to give out of compulsion.

To: Calvary Today,

In Page one of your Blog, you have stated positively that one of the Purpose of this Blog is -

“To eliminate speculations, rumours and gossips and always for the Truth to be established on all matters regarding Calvary Church.”

At the start, I love your Purpose an Objective Statement and I was hopeful for a renewal of Calvary Church to strengthen the Church.

But after reading your Blog for months, the content of your Blog and your failure to uphold your stated Purpose appear to suggest that THE TRUE PURPOSE OF THIS BLOG has in fact change to, -

“To manufacture speculations, rumours and gossips and always for the ulterior motive of bringing down the church leadership of Calvary Church”

Don’t argue with me on this. The fact speaks for itself! I challenge any new unbiased calvarite blogger to review your content and judge for himself/herself.

You as organizer and the so called Christians who preach and demand for Transparency and Accountability are the ones using non identities to make loose, unsubstantiated allegations in this Blog against their Christian brothers and sisters in Non Transparent manner and without Accountability.

Be Transparent and be Accountable yourselves!

In what manner has your Blog contributed positively in achieving your stated Purpose and in strengthening the church growth?

How can the unchristian like methods and threats employed here justify to calvarites and regular worshippers that your purpose is for church growth and not tinted by your hidden agenda and ulterior motives under the pretext of Transparency and Accountability?

Stick to your original Purpose, that is,

“To eliminate speculations, rumours and gossips and always for the Truth to be established on all matters regarding Calvary Church”

and all Calvarites will support you to strengthen the Church.

God bless the Church.

Hebrews 3:7-12:
7 Therefore, as the Holy spirit says,
Today, if you will hear His voice,

8 Do not harden your hearts,
as (happened) in the rebellion (of Israel)
and their provocation and embitterment (of Me)
in the day of testing in the wilderness,

9 Where your fathers tried (My patience)
and tested (My forbearance)
and found I stood their test,
and they saw My works for forty years.

10 And so I was provoked (displeased and sorely grieved) with that generation,
and said,
They always err and are led astray in their hearts,
and they have not perceived or recognized
My ways and become progressively better
and more experimentally
and intimately acquainted with them.

11 Accordingly I swore in My wrath and indignation,
They shall not enter into My rest.

12 (Therefore beware,) brethren; take care
lest there be in any one of you a wicked,
unbelieving heart --which refuses to cleave to, trust in and rely on Him -- leading you to turn away and desert or stand aloof from the living God.

PG what are you going to do about the mess the church is in?
PG you have been keeping silent.
CC is crumbling and PG is not bothered.
PG are you really the shepherd of CC? In name you are but?????
Does PG love the church???
To all pastors of CC, do you love the church enough to do something about the mess we are in??
Not doing anything will cause CC to crumble.
The pastors seem to think everything is OK with CC.
But the truth of matter is CC is facing serious problems.
AG Council, where are you????
